Replacement HWF65 Humidifier Filter Compatible with Holmes HWF65, HWF65PDQ-U,Filter C (2 Pack)

I am glad these filters are no longer in stock (1/6/2019) They are very poor quality. After three days of use, the wicking action stopped, and I had to refresh by soaking in a pool of water in the sink. Upon replacement into the unit, the sensor indicated "fair" and in one day changed to "poor - replace". After 6-7 days, with frequently refreshing in the sink, I noticed the separation of layers as indicated in the attached photo. I have the second filter still in the package, but now I believe I will need to order more from a different source to keep the winter's dry conditions to a minimum in my home.

I tried these replacements for my humidifier but unfortunately they all started off okay, but after a day or two the readings on the humidifier dropped to replace level (red). Tried rinsing and reinstalling, but no improvement.I then tried Holmes branded wick, worked great for weeks...

Size-wise, these are a replacement for the Holmes "C" filter - but that's where the similarity ends. They do not wick the water far enough up the filter to be efficient - the humidifier runs much longer to get to the desired humidity level with these filters than with the OEM wick filters. I cannot recommend these wick filters.

Have bought other filters that were supposed to fit my Holmes humidifier but none were ever really the right size. These seem to fit properly and are working the way they should so my humidifier is working as it should. Price was also good.

Received the filters in a timely manner. I was surprised they were just wrapped with plastic (no box). They were undamaged and fit my humidifier. I cannot help with how long they will last, but they look like the other filters I have ordered.
