What a great product! The seller packaged it nicely and it arrived on time. I was giving this to my golden retrievers in their food and realized that I needed it too! I started adding it to my smoothies - the flavor didn't change I didn't even know it was there. My Golden's needed it for their thyroid as well so after 6 weeks of adding kelp my dog's thyroid labs came back perfect. I would order this again!

Got this for my dog who has/had an iodine deficiency, and it helped tremendously within a week! I'm sure it's good to put in shakes or smoothies too!

#1 is that Iodine content is not listed anywhere. High levels of iodine can cause hyperthyroidism or hypothyroidism. I called and asked them what the iodine content was and the person that took the call OBVIOUSLY had no idea. It took him several minutes to find it, and when he told me, he literally said "it has 30 percent." I'm thinking 30% of what? Of the recommended daily intake? or 30% iodine by weight? I asked further and he put me on hold to look deeper into it and came back saying that it one scoop (3 g) is 30% iodine - then he went on to say that only half of that is absorbed. so 450 mg...? he said "no, micrograms." The bottle says take 1-2 scoops per day. After that conversation, I have zero confidence in how much iodine is actually in this supplement; therefore I do not believe it is safe at all and would not recommend it to anyone. They need to be more transparent. This could really hurt someone.

I believe it works as intended. I use to make home made dog food for an elderly dog who is intolerant to processed food. She is very healthy and happy so I would say it's a Yes!!

After ordering this product, I noticed that nowhere is the iodine content labeled. For an element that can be dangerous in large quantities, I can’t safely consume the product without knowing this information. Is there too little? Is there too much? Hard to say, even when the word “iodine” is marketed as the primary selling point of this powder. Until this company can be more transparent, this is going in the trash. Useful reference points: • Normal daily requirement for adults: roughly 150 micrograms. • Upper tolerable intake level: about 1100 micrograms per day. • Many seaweed products and kelp powders exceed this by orders of magnitude per serving. I am now making dog food for my pup as she is 16 and getting finicky with eating. I make a months worth and put about 1/4 teaspoon in it. Helps with their coat.
