These are good for using for the elderly who can't brush their own teeth or Alzheimer's patients who struggle to have their teeth brushed. It's a gentler product than a tooth brush. My sister has Alzheimers and when we tried to brush her teeth for her she always resisted and put up a fuss because she thought it was hurtful. Same with washing her hands. These are no substitute for a toothbrush but better than nothing. Soft and are made so the spongy part won't detach. Pretty strong.
