You should know that this works. Was dubious cos of the low-scoring reviews but it is fantastic! Yes, it's expensive but you only use a very small amount and it's great to look in the mirror and not see your scar. I showered and excercised with it and it didn't move. So it's long lasting too. The light shade worked pretty well on my skin, might try a different shade next time but it looked very close to my actual skin - someone else would battle to see it. If you are thinking about trying this, don't delay. And come back and thank me :)

Doesn’t do the job. Didn’t see any difference. Also the liquid is very sticky and takes ages to come off.

This is by far the best product I have found for filling indented scars. It takes a little practice to get right (you need to use far less than you think) and it stays in place all day (avoid rubbing it or it will peel away). Doesn’t entirely conceal redness underneath, but hopefully adding dermaflage concealer underneath will do the trick.

As a skin camouflage practitioner, I see many clients whose scars are perfect for the use of dermaflage. I truly believe in this product and feel that as long as the technique can be mastered, the product will mask the scar. I also see many clients who have tried this product and have found it difficult to manage. It is worth checking out a skin camouflage practitoner who has trained with this product to obtain a correct colour match and to be able to learn and practice the techniques to help gain confidence.

I was left with a prominent facial scar after surgery six years ago. Working in a profession which requires face-to-face contact with the public, I tried all the available types of scar concealer products, including wax-based fillers, setting mixtures and professional cream make-ups. Finally, an actress recommended Dermaflage to me as her go-to product for skin imperfections and it is NO exaggeration to say it proved to be the easiest and most effective scar concealer I have found. Yes, it does need practice (and trial-and-error) to achieve the best results - but it can provide almost perfect scar concealment. Of course, the correct Dermaflage shade needs to be selected - and the best concealing shade isn't always the most obvious or effective...! (I tried four or five 'obvious' shades for my skin, before finally finding a much lighter shade which worked perfectly.) The skin imperfection needs to be clean, perfectly dry and grease-free for the Dermaflage to adhere - and I've discovered that seemingly too little Dermaflage always works far better than using too much ! One can always add a second layer after the first has set.... Finally, I have found that, for me, the gentlest of applications of the texture pad is crucial for best visual results - and for a far shorter time than the Dermaflage instructions suggest. Under normal daily working conditions, I find Dermaflage adheres for around 12 hours on my skin - and where I need to have it on for longer, I use a touch of the Extended Wear Primer beforehand. This is a unique product which deserves to be better known in the UK - sadly I've found very few Doctors and medical support staff who have even heard of it. With care, a little skill and practice this product is capable of remarkable results.

I was sceptical because there was so many mixed reviews. I love love love the product. Excellent. I want to buy in bulk and will be a lifer. A little goes a long way and read the instructions. Super product that delivers.

Ant wear with makeup on top, waste alot of product to get the small amout you need, dont buy, lifts at edges

This does not work what so ever!! There’s a bunch of little red strings in my Dermaflage concealer. I don’t know why it’s like this. I am very disappointed I wasted my money on this product.

This product absolutely works (provided you follow the instructions EXACTLY) but you need an exact skin match for it to look natural. For those who wear makeup, you already know how hard it is to find your exact foundation match, so getting an exact colour match for your skin with this product will definitely be a challenge, and I don't doubt that there will be some individuals who won't find a colour match at all. The company does provide a variety of options, but without testing the product on yourself, it's hard to tell. You can't use makeup on top of this product which is why colour matching to your foundation is extremely important. Skin colour also changes as the seasons change, so unless you stay inside all year, wearing this all the time would be a challenge. The company does let you do a colour swap, but fine print indicates not available to Canada which is a huge disappointment. Following the steps perfectly, this product absolutely filled in and evened out my acne scars. The skin texture as a last step makes it look like skin. The only problem with this is that for my makeup, I like to use a pore primer to even out texture, which makes this bit stand out. But if I don't use the skin texture as a last step, it looks like an unnatural blob attached to my face, meaning i'd have to forego the primer. I tried this out on my mother who has even more textured skin, but the texture didn't match the rest of her skin so it still looked a bit strange. Overall, this is honestly a fantastic product provided that you don't have varying textures on your skin and you can find an exact colour match. This product works, but is difficult to use for sure. Would definitely recommend to those who are highly self conscious of their scars and really want to cover them up for special events, but for those with minor imperfections, makeup is usually enough and a cheaper option.
