After years of Amazon use, this is the first product that I’ve reviewed. It has brought so much life back to me after a flea infestation in my tiny 1 bedroom apartment almost broke me. I noticed one of the dogs I was had started itching really intensely over several days and after checking them, I seen fleas. I started bathing him regularly but since he likes to sleep under my bed, it was already too late. 5 fleas turned into 10, then, 20, and before I knew it, I couldn’t even step a toe on my carpet without seeing 5-6 fleas jump and start biting me. I was confident that I would be able to solve the issue quickly so I began using Vets best home spray with my carpet cleaner to hopefully kill them. I will say it did kill some fleas but works better for spot treatments than an entire carpet. After about 2 weeks of that, I did some research and bought this gem and Boric Acid. MAGIC. I combined them both and sifted onto my carpet. Heaps amount (don’t be like me). Super dusty and hard to breathe but at least I don’t have fleas anymore!!!! After sifting, agitate into carpet and leave on for at least 48 hours but I recommend leaving on longer. Combination only kills fleas and larvae, NOT THE EGGS. So when they hatch, it’s be good to have to product still on so it can kill them too! Literally stock up if fleas are a reoccurring issue for you!!

So far, I just got it yesterday, but a few things... 1) people said buck was hard to get into, obvisouly never had to open a large pail before, so you need a pilars to tear the tab and then it tears along the edge. I did not find it hard to open at all... 2) people say it's not as big as the pail looks, that is true, i thought the same thing... but a little goes a long way! this will clean and be used in all 3 of my chicken coops and their dust baths and anywhere else, the bucket is very full! 3) i'm glad it's food grade so i am not worried about my chickens. i'll do a better review after it works or when i use it where i can see changes on effectiveness. i will buy again :)

Great product. I use it everywhere on the farm. Chickens, goats, cows, horses and alpacas. Works for everyone. Great supplier, sent on time.

Works great but wish it lasted longer. Not a great value My dogs health is important to me Wish it cost less But this does work!

Hello all! So, I was living with my dad during my college years, and he suddenly gets married and decides to move with his new wife. I would’ve joined back then but I wanted to complete my term in college. So I moved in with the mother. Little did I know, she had 6 cats and the fleas were horrible throughout the year. My stepdad was terrible about not letting the cats out, so they were constantly bringing in the stupid fleas inside. Every night I had a random flea in my bed. Shoot, I couldn’t even use the restroom without those little insects hopping on my legs. It got pretty annoying. Jokingly, I even contemplated poisoning the cats (I didn’t). Anyway, about a year after this experience, my mom decided to move out too but she leaves me the apartment. I was stoked to have these stupid cats out. But the fleas remained. So I did some homework. I found that this stuff supposedly helped and a lot of people had some success. So I bought this gallon. I bought a duster and sprayed down the entire apartment. When they were moving furniture, the movers were wondering why the apartment was so dusty. But I didn’t care, I wanted those little bastards gone. It wasn’t a quick fix. It definitely took some time. I sprayed everything with this stuff. Every corner of the rooms, under everything. It made it easier that my mom basically cleared the apartment. I think I left the dust for about two weeks. When the girlfriend had enough, I finally vacuumed and mopped. (Used a mixture of White Vinegar, Dawn soap and Peppermint oil). After mopping everything twice. There was no flea in sight! It worked!!! For all the negative reviews? Sure, the gallon is a pain to open, but this is still pretty good value. If you’re desperate, this might do the trick for you. And if you decide to consume, drink lots of water.

Back ground: years ago i was given a jar of DE. i have attempted to use it for a few things, never with good results. So consider my review biased. This summer has been rough as our area had a drought... the fleas loved it. we ended up with an infestation. none of my livestock suffered thankfully but i was scrambling to stay ahead of the flea in that regard. In the house with our cats quickly got out of hand. Out of desperation I purchased DE expecting thw low quality i had gotten before, but any and all help at this point... to my delight showed up high quality DE that was easy to spread and will go a long long way! THIS IS SOLD BY VOLUME NOT BY WEIGHT you are buying a gallon, and you get a gallon. if you want to purchase by weight, buy something else. this quickly helped us get our incest issue in hand. HOWEVER, it is slow acting, but when combined with the other treatments, i can say i am happy. i am currently using this DE in combination with maximum strength foot powder (0.8% menthol) and my flea problem is vanishing more each day. once i have more time i will mix DE with equal parts foot powder, baking soda and salt. and sprinkle the carpets with that mixture and let it sit overnight before vacuuming it up. i will then return to using flea domes for the rest of the season. this de is good stuff.
