Intermediate Accounting With Annual Report

I've had some great textbooks and some crummy ones, but this one is definitely in the bottom half of this list. The best part of this textbook is the little blurbs on almost every page that give you more in depth information about the subject at hand. However, the text itself is unnecessarily wordy. It says the same thing in multiple ways, not in a more explanatory way either, but a different sentence saying the same thing. It can be mildly difficult to navigate as well because some chapters are split into multiple sections so the moment you think you're done with the chapter, think again. They are sometimes separate by several pages of "concept review" pages. Everything is kind of all over the place with this book. And the flow from topic to topic could probably be better organized too. All in all, if it's a required textbook there's not much you can do, but be prepared to use the online tools more than the textbook. Take screen shots of the homework problems if you're using connect and study from those. The book is pretty worthless to learn from.

I need this book for my accounting major. So far it's okay, the writing is a little repetitive and lengthy when it could be summarized in less words.However it does give all information and details needed for all domestic and international accounting standards and how they work together and differ.

This came in perfectly fine condition---there are no noticable marks on the book. This is Volume 1 of 2, hence the lower price than other books. The BIG advantage in having this split into 2 volumes is that all my other classmates have their GIANT books that are volumes 1 and 2 put together....This way, I only have a regular sized textbook in my backpack at all times, and can move onto volume 2 when we begin covering that material. Thanks for the book!

I cannot complain about it ! I am happy with my purchase. It came on time and it has all the chapters. It was a little worn but I expected it since it was a used books but besides that it was clean. I love the fact that its loose leaf. I dont have to carry a heavy textbook I only takeout the chapters I need.

I like all of the real-life examples and excerpts from actual financial statements. I used this text through 2 courses of intermediate accounting. Obviously, accounting is a tricky topic and not all of the rules are intuitive, but I find that this book does a good job of explaining accounting, and even if a topic is still a bit cloudy after reading the chapter, the practice problems do a great job of clearing it up.

I had ordered this textbook for a college accounting class. The description, picture, ISBN, etc. matched what I was looking for. But, when I received the book, it ended up being a custom copy for a different university. Now, I believe the book will work for my class, but I am very disappointed that the seller misrepresented what they were selling. If the book isn't the regular edition from the publisher, it needs to say that plain as day in the description. The book is also unbound, a loose leaf copy. Now I have to use the book in a binder, which I feel is not very conducive for studying. I don't believe I would purchase another item from this seller for fear of paying for one thing and receiving something else.

I read all the comments and I started not to rent this book. So many people said they could not use this book for Accounting II, but it is in fact the book I needed. I thought the book was going to be loose leaf, instead it was a hardback. Great purchase priced very cheap compared to everyone else wanting over a hundred.

It's a nice book and has all accounting concepts with all detailed explanations in deep .I am recommending it for those whose major is Finance or Accounting ...
