This advertises great for decks but the package says not recommended for decks. The instructions say not suitable for decks. Can I use it on my deck?

Beware of the confusing advertising. It is a combination of two very different products. Eco Wood Treatment and Eco Wood Stain are not the same. The package that says STAIN, is not to be used on decks. The package that says TREATMENT, is good for any untreated wood, decks included. Treatment does not come in different colors.

Can it be used on decks?

I emailed the company and this is the answer they sent. "it wont come off and will look great on your deck. It prevents white rot funji but it has to soak into the wood to work. You'll want to power wash beforehand to remove the old stain."

Does this prevent black mold?

I have used this product on my raised garden beds and have never seen mold.
