Nonstick Silicone & Fiberglass Baking Mat Half Pan 30cm X 40cm White & Yellow

I have been a professional pastry chef for 14 years so i am very picky. This mat leaves behind a faint bit of silicone on your sheet pan the first time you use it in the broiler above 550. I suggest you do it before you use them. After that no residue. Never had any smell. Cooks much more evenly then the silpat. The release and cleanup are actually better then all of my silpats. It even does a better job of browning bread then the special perforated bread silpat with its special perforated pan. They also look very professional and fit the half sheet pan perfectly. The measurement and placement guides make it easy for the kids to make perfect cookies or treats. Wroks great on your pizza stone aswell but dont use a pizza roller to cut on the mat as anything sharp will cut through the mat. I even use these as prep mats for rolling out dough and making croissants. So now I have a bunch of overpriced silpat stuff i dont use other then their silicone baking pin.

I've had the chance to use the mat exactly once to bake some refrigerated rolls and it worked fine. The mat overhung my cookie sheet lengthwise a bit and did not suffer for it. I'd try cutting one down to fit better, but I like the measurement markings around the perimeter too much to do that. I've only had this product 12 days and have already received 2 emails from the supplier pushing for a review. Sigh. I appreciate good customer service, but this kind of impatience is more like a demand than service. Give a customer a couple of months to use your product before sending requests and the reviews you get will carry a lot more weight with potential new customers. As an aside to Simple Home Creations, the link to write a review provided in the emails take me to non-functioning page and is therefore useless. I'm giving the product 4 stars because while I can't see any problems with the product itself, somebody needs to rein in the marketing department!

I ordered a silicone baking mat previously and quickly became aware of the benefits of cooking with one.... What's not to love? At the time, I knew that I needed a couple more to make my life easier, so I ordered Simple Home Creation's baking mat. It was a pleasant surprise. I have never seen a baking mat with my cookie "targets" already printed on it it.... wow this is so convenient. I just plop my dough down right on the target, and I don't have to worry about my cookies running together. They come out perfect every time. And if that was't good enough... there's a ruler printed right on the edge as well, just in case I need it for larger items. I think my inventory of baking mats is sufficient right now, but if anyone is looking for a silicone baking mat, I seriously doubt you will find anything better than this one being offered by Simple Home Creations.

Originally I LOVED these. Everythng slid right off. But than I started noticing bits of silicon peeling back (like maybe some got in my cookies? ewwww) and more bubbling. Dangerous!

I work with fiberglass so I know what it's like, and so I opened the packaging with care. The design is pleasing, however, the fiberglass weave poked through the snipped corners, forming cracks along the diagonals. I haven't cooked with this mat yet, since fiberglass is awful to the skin, it could not be kind to internal organs. I want to give the benefit of doubt that what I received was just a product that might have been sitting on the shelf for a while, having aged before it got here. The corners might also be a design flaw inherent in all products. Couldn't leave a positive review.

I purchased this to try to stop using spray on anti stick products and it definitely does that. I have used it to bake cookies and broil fish and steak. The reason I have only given it 3 stars is because after I broil fish I have to scrub the area around where the fish was to get it clean. Also after the first broil everywhere but where the fish was turned brown like it was burnt. I did not expect that to happen. If I had to buy another product like this I would consider buying another brand.

I was surprised to see the mats spring to life when I pulled them from their tiny boxes. I expected them to need the edges weighted down to straighten them out - but they were utterly without any edge curling! As another reviewer mentioned, those boxes are the perfect storage devices. I used them to bake gingersnaps. They often burn on the bottom because they're rolled in sugar. Not this time! Beautiful results. Why, oh, WHY have I not been using these all my life? I ordered 3 because I do cookies assembly-line fashion... there's always a tray cooling, a tray in the oven, and another tray ready to go into the oven. I want to order more so I can dedicate them to specific purposes - baking, fish, chix/pork/beef.

I bake a lot of cookies & have always used parchment to line my cookie sheets. I was familiar with silicone baking mats but had never tried one before. I ordered this mat by Simple Home Creations and I could not be happier with the results! I baked a batch of sugar cookies & they baked perfectly. The baked cookies slid right off the mat & the mat cooled quickly so I was able to put the next batch in the oven right away. It cleans up easily. I wish I had ordered this mat earlier. I would have saved a lot of money on parchment paper!
