A must-read for insiders and newcomers alike
Alan Wolk's "Over The Top" is as much a must-read for TV industry insiders as it is for newcomers looking to get up to speed quickly with the big - and often incomprehensibly complex - picture. He deftly portrays the lumbering nature of a giant, entrenched industry in the throes of unprecedented disruption and connects the dots for readers in ways that could otherwise take years of conference attendance to figure out. Perfectly toned and as much a page turner for TV nerds as any thriller. In a word: Mandatory.

Decent primer
Decent primer. Some data or exhibits would have been very helpful - may be as an appendix. Predictions could be better explained.

Unique insight into the Television industry
Very readable and provocative book on the TV industry and where it's heading. Useful counterpoint to the usual technology "experts"' joining the dots between consumers, content makers and the money men. Well recommended for general readers and those working in the industry
