This snoot really gives the feeling of a premium product at a reasonable price. IT is well packaged and comes with a small case. This snoot can be fitted on a standard bowens mount for easy use and a surprisingly high quality 85mm lens is included to focus the effect onto the target surface. The kit also comes with an aperture control plate and a slider to trim a part of the effect and a number of drop in pattern plates to produce a number of effects. Initially I was pairing this with a studio light but then switched it up to work with an RGB light to play with colors. Really satisfying experience and really easy to use. My only caution is that depending on the light used, there is some heat generated and stored in the unit and it does get warm to the touch. Just be cautious. Overall, I've really enjoyed it and plan to continue using it for both video and photography work in the studio.

I recently helped on a speck shoot for a sports drink commercial and we pulled out something similar to this to add a little pop of interest in the background. When how it affected the scene I knew I had to get one. This godox kit looked like a great, all-inclusive bit of kit for the budding filmmaker, and for the price I assumed all the bases would be covered. Trouble is, while this kit works well, there is a lot of fluff here. The good: -Nice case -Plenty of cookies -Good, general purpose lens The Bad: -Case won't fit any of the additional items that you can buy for this unit like extra lenses -Slot for cookies and iris is kind of hokey and doesn't feel premium at all Warning: My unit was an open box. Half of the cookies already had their protective coverings peeled off, and whoever had it before me neglected to send back the housing for the iris. I had to go rounds with customer support to get them to send me a new iris from over seas because these are not purchasable state side. In picture 3 you'll see the iris that came with the kit on the left and the replacement on the right. The replacement seems to have come from something else and doesn't quite line up in the center of the beam. Conclusion: While I'm happy with the unit and will definitely work it into my videos, I feel like the price to quality bar hasn't been met. Customer service did come through in the end, but it took about a month to get things sorted and even then, things weren't sorted perfectly. My advice, check over your unit carefully and if anything looks off package it back up and return it for a new unit.
