Good quality, no break in boots. I've been wearing these for years. I use them for hiking and camping, and work till they get old, and then they get lawn duty. This is probably my 5th pair. They run true to size.

Took a star off because these definitely needed an insert for me. Unlike other reviews, I’m still breaking them in after several hikes. I think they’ll be fine as they get more mileage. Grip is very good. For the price, it’s a solid day hiker.

Sturdy and comfortable boots. l have plantar fasciitis in both feet. They are stylish ,and my own arch inserts make these my boots of choice. I wear them probably 50% of the time. Just what I expected from Timberland. The outer is suede-ish, so get some suede spray to protect them..

My husband had these boots on his Wishlist for Christmas so I bought them for him. He has a few problems with his feet and has a hard time finding a pair of boots that he could wear for more than an hour or so without experiencing either discomfort or pain. When he tried them on, he kept telling me how comfortable they are and how he never had a pair of boots that he could wear more than an hour. He wore them for a couple of hours and couldn't believe that they were still comfortable. He absolutely loves these boots and that is enough for me.
