This arrived today so I can only comment on ease of assembly & initial use at the moment. There is a small amount of assembly required to fit the stabilisers & pedals. Tools are provided (spanner & an allen key). Instructions are a little lacking & not entirely accurate but it's not rocket science & was easy enough to sort out what went where. The pedals screw into the holders on the side (get the left & right the correct way round) & are further secured with a small screw. The fixing is totally secure & the pedals did not fall off during use. I have small feet and they fit into the straps at the smallest adjustment; I used it without any footwear and found the pedals to be comfortable. It was very stable & didn't move or creep on the carpet. The cable is a tad on the short side, measuring about 5 feet, so you need to be fairly close to a socket outlet. There is a power switch on the front under the remote control & then a further On button on the remote. The remote worked perfectly well, giving the option to switch between speed, timing etc. I initially set the speed to level 2 & found this to be adequate. The timer defaults to 5 minutes (plenty to start with) but can be adjusted. The reverse function is useful as this exercises a different set of leg muscles. I purchased this to help with rehab of a knee sprain & to build the leg muscles to better support the knee. Obviously it's too soon to know whether or not it will serve its intended purpose, but it seems well made & functioned well on the first two sessions.

motorised pedal exerciser (non resistant)
This is a neat little exerciser for legs and arms. I am unable to easily rotate my legs so this is ideal for me. It has 5 simple programmes and records time, theoretical distance and calories - theoretical because there is no resistance and so no actual 'effort' expended. I have found it helps my hips and gives a measure of gentle aerobic exercise for my legs - resulting in very much less swollen ankles. It is a very gentle 'physiotherapy'. I have not used it for my arms yet. The down side is that it came with no clear instructions - I emailed the seller company and they sent me very precise instructions and information for each of the 5 programmes. The other seriously down side is that the electrical cord is far too short which limits where one can use it (especially if you had it on a table to exercise the arms). It appears to be a fairly robust machine. Mine was second hand and in reasonable condition.

Just the ticket
Ideal for daily exercise. Easy to put together and relatively stable (though it can wobble a bit). I use it every day and it's helped a lot to prevent atrophy. I've got foot drop - so I wrap the pedals tightly around my orthotic shoe / AFO. Recommend it for people with foot drop.

Useless product
There are many things wrong with this product. When you select a program, it starts at level 1 and stays there even though you want to go up to a higher speed. It cycles through the time, speed, calories etc and after at least 30 seconds, it returns to the speed and may or may not increase. Before you know it, two and a half minutes have passed when it suddenly stops and goes into reverse. I don't know if this is a fault, or if it is such a bad design, but either way, it is useless. It has a maximum time of 15 minutes for any program, and when cycling, it wobbles from side to side as it is so light. The foot pedals are slippery hard plastic and your feet fall out of the inadequate straps, where the unit gives an error and then stops, just when you have got to beyond the speed number 3 or 4. Do not buy this as it is just a fancy toy and cannot be used with any seriousness.

Basically ok but a nightmare to assemble.
I got this to help with rehabilitation after total knee replacement surgery. The box arrived quickly but things went south from the off. We couldn't get the pedals on! They just didn't seem to fit. We tried for half an hour then checked questions on Amazon and saw that it seemed a common problem. Following one suggestion, we tried screwing in the pedals backwards and this was partially succesful though the pedals still don't fit properly and need tightening every other use. I contacted the seller and Lucy replied on 5th Nov saying she'd passed my message on to their techies and would be in touch asap. As of 24th November, I am still waiting! I really don't want a newly operated leg crashing to the ground! Personally, I find the pedals uncomfortable after a few minutes and I also struggle to get my feet safely onto them and strapped in since the pedals naturally rest upside down because of the plastic straps and I find it awkward to hold the pedal steady while I lift the other foot onto it and fasten the strap. I have also found that the exerciser doesn't stay in place during use so we have to put a block of wood in front of it. On the plus side, I like the fact that it is motorised and also that it can be used in reverse. I think it could be excellent if only those pedals were attached more safely. Come on Lucy, email me with that help you promised! Edit: End of Nov, I emailed them again.... got a reply next day which simply gave me a link to the assembly instructions and pointed out that not following the instructions would render warranty invalid. I now have to reply saying we TRIED to follow the assembly instructions and were seeking additional help! So they were no help at all. Very poor customer service.
