- Machado Hand-Sharpened Knife with Leather Sheath - Forged Multipurpose Meat Cleaver Butcher Kitchen Knife

I dont know the origins of this brand and if it is Chinese or Indian or European ( least likely, but Machado is knife in Portugese), but I like the full tang blade and overall balance. It cuts out of the box logs and trunks. Sharpness is adequate. The sheath is a cheap polyester one obviously considering the total price but one can always make his own custom sheath with high quality leather. Overall value for money if you do not want to splurge in high end cutlery brands or really expensive knifes for say a local trip necessarily but also quality for the customer. I think this brand is doing a good job in that regard, which is keeping customers happy. This is a good design and its way better than the stuff you can bu from outdoorsy brands like Coleman for instance. Not to be judgmental but I own several high end premium products and brands but once in a while I do appreciate the affordable quality range of products and this is one of them.

Received the knife in good condition. The blade is okay, but it may not be made of high-carbon steel, as it needs sharpening once a week and requires daily burr removal before cutting. The knife is lightweight. The handle is made of cheap plastic and may not be durable. I wiped it clean after every use and stored it in the plastic cover provided and it did not rust. After sharpening, it cuts tomatoes effortlessly. The plastic cover is also not durable. Overall, it is a good product for the price.

The knife is very good and sharp....I am from Arunachal Pradesh and it's very useful in tracking and camping and even to cut way in dense forest path...nice....very satisfied

Likes: Blade strength: pretty damn good! Tang length: Full Edge retention after first use: Superb! Grip: Pretty comfortable 👌 Weight: Good enough for chopping fire wood. Spine thickness: 3 mm Sharpness: Decent, chopping knives don't have to be razor sharp! Dislikes: Sheath: Cheap quality, not meant for rough use. Its too thin to carry a knife of this sharpness. Also, the one I recieved was damaged. I believe it's a manufacturing issue, importer/ seller can't do much about it.... Handle: Grip is good and sturdy, but I expected it to be wood, turned out to be plastic. I hope it will last long enough.

Great Quality knife and its really sharp. Very light weight its not heavy at all. Really easy to use and cut vegetables and all. Worth the price. Length is approx 16cm and width is 4cm.

Worst product don't buy... In reality product doesn't look the same as per the images it is small in reality and can't be used for fish and meat cutting can only be used as for vegetables also the sharpness degrades within few used
