STRONG for Life... if you let it.
Well for starters I have never been a fan of Zumba. I am mostly into martial arts and HIIT pnly workouts. But when I saw that Zumba put out a HIIT martial art type program I decided to check it out. I have been doing TapouT, Insanity, and a few other types of martial arts workouts for years now. The company Zumba is an excellent fitness company program, period, it's just I've never been into dance fitness or dance type workouts of any kind, but knew that Zumba was an excellent fitness program regardless of my likings. Since they put out this HIIT, martial arts program I decided to buy it. I needed something different anyways. This program is EXCELLENT! It has stages that you can choose depending on your fitness level and or your choice of how hard you would like to workout. The thing that sold me on this video other than martial arts and HIIT was, the fact that EVERY single move is choreographed to every single beat of the music. THAT right there is what sold me. Having an exercise video that the moves are set up at a precise moment is awesome!!!! Not to mention the 2 DJ's {TImbaland and Steve Aoki) who took one year making the soundtrack, they are two of the best DJ's in the music industry and have worked with just about everyone, no matter what genre of music, they work with tons of different artists. This program is fun, it's challenging if you let it, it's not annoying like some workout videos where there damn instructors TALK THE ENTIRE TIME. The woman who leads this program talks the right amount. I love STRONG, and I do it 7 days a week. And for days I want a longer workout, I do this 60 minute workout, and then add the separate 20 minute workout to the mix. CONS: There really are no cons as far as I see it. PROS: 1. Great price ($7.99) definitely worth $20 or more (and I would have easily paid that price) 2.Excellent choreography. Excellent music that's very easy to workout to and will not distract you from your exercising like some program and their music do. 3. Challenging and FUN. There is not one boring second in this program. 4. You WILL sweat regardless of what shape you are in, so you know you're working hard. 5. Easy to finish. Meaning it's not too tough that you cannot do the entire 60 minute workout. 6. Challenging moves which keep your body working hard day after day. 7. The DVD also comes with a link to a website that allows you (for FREE) to download a digital copy so that you can use the program with you wherever you go if you chose not to take the DVD with you. Digital download for your phone or computer. 8. Crisp bright video, in great focus with great camera angles that are not all over the place like some other fitness DVDs. 9. Easy to follow movements, does not take a week to learn any of the moves. Can be learned quite easily. 10. Did I mention FUN!!!

Strong by Zumba is the Best!
I'm in my early 30s and I have been doing Live Strong by Zumba classes in my community for a year now. I bought this work out DVD for days that I can't make it to the live classes and still want to get it in. The music and moves are so motivating and it seriously gives you the most fun and rewarding work-out. As other people have said, this isn't Zumba Dance, this is a branch of Zumba... Zumba Strong!! Burpes, planks, lunges, HIIT moves, etc. I definitely modify on certain moves that can be jerking to my sensitive back, but it still packs a punch and I sweat buckets! This video is great, the sound quality is not as good as other videos I use, but you still hear the music and the instructor and the camera angle is good. The instructor is great and not annoying at all, and once you get the moves down, you can have the option to turn off the voice cues altogether. The music and beat is addicting to keep coming back to try and perfect some of the moves that are hard to coordinate at first, but once you have them down, you can dig in and push hard! I highly recommend this video... and LIVE classes too!! Because then you get variety and switch ups!

Burns calories long after the workout
This is a low impact high intensity full body workout. I rotate this in at least once a week, usually on Saturday because it wears me out. I notice that I burn calories long after the workout is over and my muscles are always sore. This will definitely tone your whole body. You can skip to whatever quadrant you like and even turn off commentary. The moves are more like kickboxing and martial arts set to Techno/Latin inspired music, which I appreciate. The first time I did the entire workout, I was laid up for 10 days. My body was screaming at me saying, “Why did you do that? What is wrong with you?” Now that my muscles have healed, I’m back at it and stronger than before. I recommend you try this workout. And remember, no pain no gain. December 8, 2020: It’s been 3 months since I’ve added this workout to my weekly routine. I have lost about 15 lbs since then, but 30 lbs total. I still enjoy this workout and still get a great calorie burn. Some of the moves have become a lot easier but I’m no where near mastering this routine. The “push-up challenge” gets me every time. I get so winded trying to complete it that I can barely finish the quadrant. I’m also still a spectator on much of quadrant 3 but I try to follow the modified version. I find the instructor to be very motivating and enthusiastic, which is why I continue to use it. I feel like I’ve gotten my money’s worth since I still like this workout and still haven’t mastered it yet. Finding the right workout is like trying on clothes. It has to fit! June 11, 2021: It’s been a little over a year since I started my weight loss journey. I have lost 50 lbs and have developed a good amount of muscle tone. I can finally keep up with this video and complete the “push up challenge” without feeling like I’m going to die. I use a lot of other material but still rotate this dvd in and get a great workout. I highly recommend this workout and I hope they come out with more videos like this.

This gets better every time I do it
I purchased this a while ago because it was a good deal. However, I didn't end up trying until much later. I get a little nervous about work out's that claim high intensity because in my experience that means I'll have to stop mid DVD and take a break and feel a little defeated while doing so... I tend to grab lower intensity workouts and jog easy. I finally went for it and I'm really glad I did. The music is fun and the instructor says motivational comments like 'we're in this together' that I like. It is a tough work out, but there are multiple people doing different intensities. I love this in a DVD because I usually start easiest and, if I like it and use repeatedly, I can work up! I am mostly doing the beginning versions of moves, except one's I'm comfortable with from another work out, and I do have to back off sometimes or pause to grab a gulp of water, but now that I've tried it a few times, I really like it! The first time, I guess I was shy about all of the punching and jabbing, but now that I'm more comfortable with what's happening, it's fun to move to the perfectly timed upbeat music and even snarl or make a face with a certain move to get into it. It's fun and I am sweating 15 minutes in for sure. I also like that there are many new versions of moves for me personally, so it keeps me interested. I like doing different types of workouts depending on my mood and with the interest of working different parts of my body. They show the huge arena work out class this is based on and I'm much happier doing the DVD, ha! I would recommend this and also say don't worry if you get tired and need to modify for the last reps or whenever you need it. I find finishing more satisfying than pushing too hard during and all up wanting to stop the DVD before they're done with the class. And I now have enough experience to see that you'll improve, you will, so you can work it hard, but not kill yourself! Oh, and another thing, the DVD menu is nice quality and I see an option to turn off verbal cues. I haven't used this yet, since I still need them, but I appreciate the feature. I have some work out DVDs I've done several times and you're over some of the talk that was meant for the first time you worked it. I also have workouts that are good, but no doubt they look low quality and like home made. This feels professional. Wish there were more of these available to purchase, I'd love all different types of workout genre's that were super tuned to the music (or vice versa!), it's a great concept to go for.

Love it!
I love love love this workout. It is so fun. It is very challenging so it may not be great for beginners (though they show modifications on the full workout). The music is great, the moves are fun and i definitely get a sweat on. I like the 20 minute bonus workout as an add on to other workouts (i have several 40 minute dvds-Intervalo, which is also good). I am experienced with both Zumba (this is so not zumba, except the music maybe) and cardio kickboxing so i found it an easy workout to follow. I purchased 3 dvds since my gym is closed right now. This is by far the best. (Itervalo, mentiined above, and Barre by Jennifer Smith, Jessica maybe? Cant remember. They are also good.) I look forward to this workout always. If they released different workouts i would snatch them up immediately.

NOT FOR BEGINNERS!
I use workout at home DVDs daily & I wasn't ready for this one. This DVD is absolutely not for beginners AT ALL.. This is for people who are already in excellent physical condition. It is absolutely a great workout but the instructor is going way too fast, switching from one move to the next very quickly. It is difficult to keep up. It's almost like trying to learn a dance routine. I honestly don't know how the other people in the video were able to keep up with the instructor. I will stick with Leslie Sansone DVDs instead.

This is No Joke But I Love It
This workout is intense, but I absolutely love it. I never got into Zumba so I didn’t think I would like it, but the only thing it has in common with the Zumba you may be familiar with is that they both use music (and the music is completely different). It’s a great combo of cardio and strength for someone trying to get back into a regular exercise routine. There are four sections that focus on particular moves and areas of the body and then there is a full hour long work out. At the end, you get a summary of how many particular exercise you did (like squats and push ups) which I find motivating. The woman who leads it is amazing and keeps you motivated the entire time. She has no problem handling all the advanced moves, but reminds you to stick with the others if things are too hard. The music also really helps to keep you moving which is something I was surprised by. I’ve had to modify some of the moves, but still get a great workout. I’m dripping in sweat by time I’m finished, but I also feel like a badass. I’ve done this along with the 30 minute workout video they have on YouTube and they both are part of my rotation now.

Don't be intimidated! If I can, you can! :)
I do a lot of DVDs but I wouldn't say I'm very strong and have been avoiding this kind of challenge, sticking to cardio. This is very different than dancing Zumba, but what I love is that they kept it simple and approachable. Even the first time I was able to imitate most of the moves after a few tries and focus on working out instead of learning steps. I LOVE the warm up, felt like they really were focusing on getting muscles stretched instead of rushing through, especially the core. I just finished my first time through and there was no way I was going to keep up with them, especially in the strength exercises at the end, but the modifications were really helpful and as they say if you just keep moving, it's a win. It will take time, but I like that there is a lot of room to grow. I burned a lot of calories and had fun. I also appreciated how they tracked progress through each of the quadrants, although I do like the timer that Beachbody provides.

great overall workout
I have been using this one or two times a week for a couple years, it's great for strength as well as cardio and is quite intense (but there are modifications, one of the instructors does them in the background to lower the intensity). If I only have time for 45 min, I just do the 2nd, 3rd and 4th segments. You can customize your workout with the 15 min sections.

Super dvd strong by zumba
Dvd extra !
