Review: I LOVE ME & MY FAMILY!!! 🥰 - I’m soo satisfied with my order! It was surprising i even got it earlier! But i really did’nt want to stop reading through this book because when you get older you forget so much of how the body works plus the naming of the parts. This is a wonderful family inspiration & informative book that i feel that it’s very important to keep my body at 76 soon to be at its best!! So far so good!!! Review: fanstatic medical informational book - 6/17/24 So thrilled my Mayo Clinic Family Health book came to day. i breezed through and it has all sorts of information regarding medical history and what to do. The book is sturdy and is in "easy reading" form, and like their website, Mayo Clinic breaks it down without scary terminology or confusing data. It helps to ready about your symptoms so that you don't go tearing up the highway to go to the hospital every time you get a sniffle or a pain. Very informative. Great prices too, i saw it for almost twice this amount on another bookstore website. So read with confidence and a discerning attitude. Learn about communicable diseases, breaks and falls, diagnosess and treatments, its all there.

Unusual but appreciated baby shower gift
This book is super awesome to have on hand for family basics in medicine. Super reliable information since it’s the most clinical, and I recommend everyone have a book like this on hand. I gave it as a baby shower gift (yes the person requested it but it’s still a good idea).

A copy should exist in every home
I was hesitant to buy this after reading the review by the nurse and not only is the review wrong, it is a clear case of someone overestimating their knowledge and ability in the field of medicine. I received this book today and already spent hours combing through the various topics from healthy living to end of life care. An absolutely fascinating read written in a language that anyone can understand. I'm totally blown away with the topics covered in this book. The obvious stuff like dealing with emergency situations to talking to your kids about sex. I'm really sensitive to reading political biases and agendas and I haven't gotten any of that here. Everything I've read so far has given the science and didn't make your feel like they were forcing you or scaring you into doing something. Some write that this is an expensive Google search. That's wrong too. Sometimes you just don't know what to search and it's nice to have sections to lead you to what you want to learn about. It's also just a fun thing to thumb through and learn about illnesses and conditions so you are aware of what to look for. Anyway, at these prices, you would have to be silly not to get one.

Reference for Home
The internet is a wealth of knowledge; however, I also like having "a real book" for reference. I refer to this for general information, then I go to the internet for further info if I need to. A family would benefit by having a medical reference like this one at home that includes everything from First Aid, visuals, etc. to dementia.

Great shape for used
Even though we purchased this used, it was very good and well worth saving the money versus getting it new. Loads of information.

A treasure trove of good medical information
I can’t see anyone being disappointed in this tome. At 6.6 pounds and 1391 pages, there is enough information here for Dr. Mom/Dad to be on top of all the symptoms in the house and emergency first aid knowledge that can literally save lives. Sophisticated writing doesn’t talk down to reader, yet readable and understandable to the layman. This the kind of information you need in book form because the knowledge is too valuable to risk on a power outage or internet crash. No batteries needed, just open and read! I bought a used one classified as “very good” condition, and saved about $12. What I got was a brand new, still in the cellophane, copy that had a minor warp to the back cover, like the book had been sitting for a while compressed under a heavy weight or something. Totally irrelevant to the use and functionality of the book, so FYI if you want to save a bit of money. Highly recommended.
