Really impressed how well it works.
Absolutely amazing stuff. Better than Rain-x and doesn’t leave any sort of residue as some other products do. Application is fairly simple. You need to clean the windshield very well, then apply one coat, let it dry a bit, apply another one and let that dry also. It will look hazy. Then you buff it off with a microfiber cloth and that’s it. I applied it when I had a pretty bad set of wiper blades. With this stuff, the wipers worked like they were new. I’m not usually one to buy this sort of stuff, but it really works. It lasted me about three months through the winter before I felt the need to reapply. It’s on my subscribe and save list now.

Follow the steps and youll love the results
I see a lot of complaints about how it leaves streaks or it was too hard to get off. I can guarantee you those people did not properly prep their car. The problem with it any sealant is you have to make sure that the glass is completely clean, no water spots, no residue. if you don't get that off you're just sealing that debris in. I had that exact issue and had to reclean it because the streak wouldn't go away. If the streak doesn't go away no matter how much you wipe it down, it means you sealed in the debris. Need to start over on that ones spot. Once I did, all was good. Loved the ease of application, but again, the key to any and all sealants, prep is key. If it's not properly prepped it will take forever to wipe off or won't wipe off at all. My car shield looks awesome, love the Griots line

Works well, water beads right off during heavy rain storm!
The part that takes the longest with this product, and any windshield coating products is preparing the windshield. For this,I used this RainX cleaner I have, it cleans the windshield very well. I still felt some bumps on the glass, so I also used a clay bar. With all the contaminants gone, I sprayed it down with an alcohol prep spray and then applied the Griots Garagr sealant. This glass sealant worked well, just like RainX. When it rained, the water slipped right off. It was dark on the road, so I didn’t even need my wipers on. When I’m in a well lit area, the windshield wipers come on to remove the reflection that hinders visibility. This product works, I’ve had it for about. 3 weeks now. I can’t speak to how long it’ll last, since I applied it recently. Update: it’s been about a month and the water stopped beading. The car is garage kept all the time as well. It looks like it needs to be reapplied. I was hoping it would last longer, kind of disappointed. I’ll probably try Gyeon View glass coating next. They claim to last 24 months.

Act like a new windshield
Well for a first time user I am happy. After treatment windshield seems clearer. It is slicker to the touch. Water really slides off. Wipers seem to glide over effortlessly. Will do rest of windows for my vehicle for sure.

Does the job....short term
I think a lot of people have tried this type of glass sealer / rain repellant at some point so I'll stick to a few key notes. How this differs from Rain-X is really in the failure, All products, no matter how "top of the line" they are will fail at some point; even ceramic coatings. As a auto detailer, I find this blend to be much cleaner then Rain-x. What I mean by that is when the time comes and the product fails, Griots Glass Sealant just stops working. Rain-X on the other hand, breaks down and leaves behind a greasy film. This film causes wiper blades to chatter and squeak across the glass. Also, the film creates bad night glare; I didn't get this with the Griots. Just as important to note: always clean off your wiper blades. Your wiper blades will also scrape up and collect oils, dirt. bug guts and anything else stuck to your windshield. If you clean your glass, apply this sealant and don't clean the wiper blades, you are reintroducing the same oils and trash back to your freshly coated glass. It then looks as if the glass sealant isn't doing it's job when actually it is. If you are looking for a low cost, entry level glass sealant / rain repellant Griots is a great choice. My only gripes would be the lack of durability (few weeks) and leaking bottle tops from time to time. Hope this helps.

Next-Level Nanotech — Like Force Fields for Your Windshield
In the year 2025, I applied Griot’s Garage Glass Sealant to my windshield. Within seconds, I was no longer driving a car — I was piloting a spacecraft through Earth's atmosphere with a deflector shield set to max. Rain? Irrelevant. Water molecules make contact and immediately lose the will to stick. It’s like the glass is coated in alien tech from a galaxy where water simply isn’t allowed. Even at low speeds, droplets scatter like they just got hit with a plasma cannon. Above 40 mph? You barely need wipers — the water jumps off in terror. Application was easy — wipe on, buff off — like activating cloaking mode on a starcruiser. And it leaves your glass so slick, you half expect it to teleport bugs off the windshield before they even land. I’ve used a lot of water repellents before, but this one? This is different. This is hyperdrive-level hydrophobicity. It’s not a product — it’s a shield generator for glass. 🚀 Recommended for anyone navigating wet atmospheres, planetary storms, or rainstorms at rush hour.

The only glass sealant I will use
I have tried nearly every glass sealant around from RainX, to Aquapel, to Fly by 30, to Optimum and I prefer Griots Glass sealant for its longevity, performance, and ease of application. The trick to making this work is a clean windshield (I mean really clean your windshield 2-3 times with a quality glass cleaner) and proper application. Here is my process and it works well and lasts 4-6 months: apply a liberal amount of Griot's sealant to a clean microfiber towel and wipe it horizontally across the windshield until the whole windshield is covered. Immediately apply a little more sealant to your towel and apply a second coat vertically to the entire windshield (you are cross hatching). Now you need to let the product dry for 5-20 minutes. Once the product is dry you need to apply a second application in the exact same manner you did the first (cross hathching). After the second application wait another 5-10 minutes and then buff off the hazed sealant with a clean microfiber cloth. If you are having problemsbuffing the sealant you can lightl dampen your towel and it will make the buffing process much easier. Follow these steps and you will have water flying off your windshield at speeds over 35 mph for the next 4-6 months on non-garaged daily drivers. Like most detailing products, 90% of the products success is based on preparation and application. Apply Griot's Glass sealant correctly and you will not be disappointed in its peforrmance and durability.

Outstanding hydrophobic properties - highly recommend
Applied in three coats on all glass. Amazing product which virtually eliminates the need for wipers in rain - because water sheets off so well. Applied to my three German vehicles. My new goto for glass

Good glass wax
It’s the second bottle I buy. A bottle like this lasts 2 to 3 years, and maybe more, if you apply a layer of wax on the windshield and the rear window every 6 months. It’s easy to do with a microfiber cloth and cheaper than Aquapel. This wax is long to dry compare to car wax. Apply 2 thin layers from left to right and from top to bottom of the glass. Let it dry at least one hour and then, wipe it. You won’t have streaks.

Fantastic!!
Fantastic sealant. Don't need much and it creates a barrier that repels dirt water, ice like no other product ive used. Doesn't leave any film that glares at night like rainX.
