Directed by Lee Isaac Chung, the Oscar® nominated writer-director of Minari, Twisters stars Golden Globe nominee Daisy Edgar-Jones as Kate Cooper, a former storm chaser haunted by a devastating encounter with a tornado during her college years who now studies storm patterns on screens safely in New York City. She is lured back to the open plains by her friend, Javi (Golden Globe nominee Anthony Ramos, In the Heights) to test a groundbreaking new tracking system. There, she crosses paths with Tyler Owens (Glen Powell), the charming and reckless social-media superstar who thrives on posting his storm-chasing adventures with his raucous crew. As storm season intensifies, terrifying phenomena never seen before are unleashed, and Kate, Tyler and their competing teams find themselves squarely in the paths of multiple storm systems converging over central Oklahoma in the fight of their lives. Bonus Features Tracking the Fronts Glen Powell Review: Good film - Bought for husband for Christmas ‘25 after seeing it at the cinema, good film Review: Better than the first imo - I loved the first film and honestly thought that this film would be like the proverbial super-cell storm that spawns now Tornado. Honestly? This is better than the first in my opinion. I understand other reviews saying it's just copy and paste. But be fair. If the formula works, then why ruin it. And it's a clever plot twist in the story that made me like it that little bit more. Look, you're never going to get a totally unique sequel ( A quiet place, and a quiet place II being a prime example of how trying to change a great formula can fail). But Twisters does a very good job of trying to separate itself from the first film, without throwing the very concept that made the first film great, out of the window. In my honest opinion, a great sequel.

Storm-Chasing Spectacle with Romcom Sparks
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Twisters whirls into action with high-stakes tornado chases and blockbuster visuals, but it’s the unexpected romcom energy between Glen Powell and Daisy Edgar-Jones that gives it heart. The chemistry is magnetic, the set pieces thrilling—especially the rodeo and town finale—and while the plot may be predictable, it’s still a fun ride for disaster movie fans. Not quite a sequel, not quite a remake, but definitely a popcorn-worthy storm of its own.
