The size was for a toddler. I ordered another hat for my 5 year old and this hat was equally sized. I purchased this for an adult. It looked nice however not for a teen or adult whatsoever.

Should have trusted the reviews. This is NOT for teenagers. Bought it as a gift for a 10 year old boy but had my petite 8 year old girl try it on first and it just barely fit on her head but she said it was uncomfortable. Best for 3-7 year olds.
