These Atmos Electric Vacuum Canister are amazing. Keeps coffee super fresh and love that they every so often automatically purge themselves from air. A must have for fresh coffee. A little on the expensive side however worth every penny if you enjoy fresh coffee.

I LOVE coffee and recently started ordering it from a company that roasts each order for shipping, so I wanted to maximize the freshness and a friend had recommended these canisters. I bought two to start with and couldn't be happier with them. The vacuum seal is so tight that if you try to remove the lid without releasing the seal, you won't be able to open it. I've been buying coffee in two pound batches and the coffee in the canisters smells and tastes just as fresh after 3 weeks as it does on the day I receive it. I was hesitant at first to spend about $80.00 per canister, but I'm glad I did it because I feel these are worth the price because they keep my coffee beans so fresh. I plan to buy two more.

Have had this most of a year now and it still works great. Not really worried about the seal or vacuum mechanism since Fellow backs this product with a 3 year warranty if you register which I think shows that they really back their products. Can't say too much about the strength since we haven't banged it around a bunch, but it is glass so we baby it. No scratches or dings in the time we have had it. As for the functionality, the vacuum is effortless. One push of a button to seal, one push to open. The motor is noticeable, but not obnoxious and only runs for 5-10 seconds generally. The vacuum holds really well and if it loses pressure it automatically kicks back on which only happens once in a while. We have only charged it twice in the nearly year we have had it using it just about everyday. In terms of aesthetic, it's one of the best containers I own and is proudly displayed on my countertop so everyone can know how much coffee we drink. The glass is very clear and free of imperfections. The size is maybe a bit unfortunate. It's just shy of holding a normal 1lb bag. I think that was kind of an oversight on Fellow's part since we have to keep our bags sitting around for 2-3 days, but that's not a deal breaker for us.

Unit has worked flawlessly for me for nine months now. You can tell that it really is effective and works well as every morning when I open it up, I get a scent barrage of fresh fragrant coffee beans ( the supposedly airtight foil bags that coffee comes in never did this after the first day or two). And the freshest coffee tastes the most wonderful in my lattes. You have to remember to charge it every so often, but that’s about the only slight downside to it. Highly recommend! This was a good splurge!

This is a fairly expensive storage container, ideal for storing oxygen-sensitive stuff, like coffee. If that isn’t what you need, you should look at cheaper non-vacuum containers. This is one of the few options that actively creates and maintains a vacuum inside the container. It’s made a noticeable difference in the freshness of my stored coffee. If you plan to use it for coffee, though, I suggest not buying the glass version of this product, as coffee is also light sensitive. Here are some pros of this container: * The version I bought is made almost entirely of metal. Plus what little plastic there is won’t come in contact with whatever you decide to store in it. It is sturdy and coated in a premium feeling matte textured coating (the inside is bare metal). * It is easy to charge and uses USB-C. The port is on the side of the canister’s lid, so it can be charged while closed. A charge also lasts a long time. I’ve gone months without needing to recharge the unit (though your experience will vary, since I usually only open mine 1-2 times per day. * The canister keeps itself under constant pressure, running the pump to remove air periodically as the internal vacuum drops. * The pump is quiet and doesn’t run for long (about 1 minute). I used a decibel meter and the worst case reading, directly putting the meter next to the canister (which is like holding the canister up to your ear while it is running the pump) was 60 decibels, but most of the time it was between 50-55 decibels. A measurement taken at ear level while standing in front of the canister which was on a kitchen counter, the decibels were around 40-45. Given that an average quiet room is around 35-40, that’s really quiet. See the video for an actual recording of the pump in action. * The larger container I purchased holds a full pound of coffee, but only just. Here are the cons: * The container can be somewhat difficult to open as there are no points to easily grasp and pull up on the top. I wish it had a recessed area on the side of the top that would allow you to more easily pull up when you are opening it. * I wish there were more size options. I usually get my coffee in two pound bags (yes, really 32 oz. bags) and I’d like to be able to store all of that. * The vacuum could be better. It’s not possible to get a perfect vacuum, but I do wish it maintained a more complete one than it does. * This is expensive for its size. You definitely won’t be buying a bunch of these unless you have a lot of disposable income, so you’ll have to be judicious in its use. Coffee, pure dark chocolate, tea, or maybe saffron are the only items expensive enough to warrant a container like this. It’s too small and expensive for things like cereal. * A non-replaceable rechargeable battery isn’t a great choice for this product. The battery will die long before the container itself does. If you want a high quality container that provides and maintains a reasonable vacuum state, this might be for you. It’s expensive, but should last until the rechargeable battery dies.

This works really well and is definitely a must if you want to keep the beans fresh for a long time. A bit pricey though.

It's just okay which isn't really ideal considering the price. I think some of these are likely hit or miss because the seal on mine worked great for the first week then became less and less effective to where the motor would run about once an hour. That was causing the battery to drain faster too so I ended up using the warranty and Fellow sent me a new replacement lid and it's worked fine ever since. Another drawback is it is just shy of being able to hold a full 16oz bag of whole bean coffee by about one to three scoops. That's not too far away but that's also beans only so if you plan on storing your scoop inside the canister then you'll need to use up some of the coffee before doing so. If you're a coffee nut it is a bit of a niche product that does look pretty nice and does a decent job, but it could be better if it were just a bit bigger. Additionally if you're a big coffee connoisseur then you'll probably go through your beans faster than they could ever go bad and needing something like this to help preserve them longer. So I don't hate it but after purchasing it I also can't say that I'd recommend it to any friends or family considering the several other more affordable options out there. Bonus for getting the metal one to prevent light transmission into the canister, it's also magnetic so I added a magnet to mine for a little counter top flair. I also added a 3" furniture pad to the bottom of mine so that it wouldn't get scratched or dented up on my counter space.

UPDATE: To those people saying these don't hold vacuum and so on, I bought mine, four of them, in 2024 and they all still work perfectly. I also very seldom have to charge them. (I actually wonder if some of these people read the instructions and charged them at all.) Since I bought a Jura J8 and use that in addition to my Moccamaster, I am actually here to buy more of these because they work so well and I am exploring a lot more beans than my usual Sumatra and Arabian Mocha Java. When Fellow blows it, I'll be honest about it. I returned the Fellow Aiden after eight days, for instance. These are definitely keepers. ORIGINAL REVIEW: On Fellow's web site you can just buy the new electric lid and use it with your existing Atmos canister if you already own one. As of July 2024 it's $50 for each electric lid at Fellow, so had I known that I would have bought two electric lids rather than one new canister with an electric lid. (The canister part below the lid is exactly the same part as the non-electric lid original version you may already own--including the fact that you can't really put 1 pound of coffee inside [typically when I have a new 1 pound bag of coffee I pour 69 g for my Moccamaster, then fill the canister, and STILL have a bit of coffee beans in the bag to use up the next day before I can discard the bag]. I wish they made this slightly larger to really fit 1 pound of whole bean coffee. Note that their marketing literature says "up to 1 pound," not that it actually holds 1 pound; and yes, I realize with coffee getting more and more expensive it is often now sold in 12-ounce bags instead of 16-ounce [1 pound] bags. Just something to keep in mind. I mostly buy Sumatra whole bean coffee or Arabian Mocca Java from Peet's, and neither one from a 1 pound bag will fit in the canister completely.) Also, if you're the kind of person who buys pre-ground coffee, this product is not for you. Per Fellow, pre-ground coffee will eventually clog (and ruin) the filter in the lid. Fellow doesn't make it easy to find all the literature for this (such as a PDF version of the user's guide that you're going to want to refer to to see what the different colors of the LED indicator in the lid mean [charging, charged, no vacuum, etc.]) but it's there on the site if you dig around. The new electric lid charges with USB-C (plugged into the side of the lid) and the charge lasts about 3 months (says Fellow's site), so about four times a year you will need to charge this. With this new electric version you no longer need to give the lid a few extra twists every few days to restore acceptable vacuum. The electric lid monitors the vacuum and automatically does that for you. This feature alone is a worthwhile reason to upgrade, as I was recently on vacation for a week and didn't have to worry about walking over and twisting my lids manually, the new Atmos did it for me while I was away from home. It's also great to be relieved of having to give the lid 25 to 30 turns each morning after I make coffee to restore the vacuum and remove the air from inside. (When the canister is mostly full of coffee beans you may get away with fewer turns, but as the coffee beans diminish each day in the canister and there's more air space, that's typically how many turns I used to give my non-electric lids on the Atmos.) The original version of the Fellow Atmos made my Airscape canisters obsolete overnight, but now with the new electric lid that maintains vacuum for you, the Airscape is really a bit of a joke (I have four of them to find good homes for--or add to the landfill situation with soon--as there's no point in buying them or keeping them when the fellow Atmos, especially the new electric version, is so vastly superior).

I’ve got a few normal Atmos containers but this ones became my daily used ones It’s so good, so easy to use and keeps your beans fresh.

Formidable : pratique, élégant et très facile d’utilisation, bref je recommande absolument.

Using it is as simple as it gets: press the button as you grab it, wait a couple of seconds and the white led tells you vacuum is gone and you can open it, take out some coffee, put the lid back on, press the button as you put it away and leave it, it will seal itself in seconds. Coffee beans stay fresh for much longer that using a regular cannister.
