Woodpeckers Precision Woodworking Tools PTR46SET Precision Triangle Set, 4-Inch/6-Inch

I hate to say it, this is absolutely worth the money. It was extremely helpful in setting up my Miter Saw and Table Saw.On my Miter Saw this helped me dial in the Miter so tight that a 5 cut test results in a calculated error of just under 0.001" per 1" cut. As far as I'm concerned, that's good for any saw, of any quality. I can now cut perfect miters.This also really Elevated what I could squeeze out of my SawStop table saw.Next I turned to my Empire TrueBlue square -- using these precision triangles I was able to determine that my Empire Square wasn't perfectly true. The precision triangles showed me where to hone to true up my everyday Empire square.Ultimately because of the price, I won't use these everyday. However when I want a good reference for dialing in my other tools, this will be one of my Go To tools. I really couldn't be happier.

Woodpeckers tools are *always* precise, and these triangles are no exception. The arrive in an mdf case, which protects them partially in a tool drawer. The case is a contoured bottom, with an acrylic "button" which holds the triangles in the case. The top is unprotected, so they can't be placed in with a bunch of screwdrivers or pliers. Of course, like virtually all Woodpeckers tools, they are made from CNC'd aluminum alloy. Thus, care must be taken to avoid damage to the soft metal. The alloy seems to be as tough as aluminum (without titanium) gets, but it's still aluminum.Woodpeckers does not try to be a price leader, but rather a quality leader, and they succeed. Their tools aren't cheap, but they are quality. I use one or more Woodpeckers tools every time I'm in my shop.

I only wish the two triangles had a different release than screws, maybe some sort of quick release.

These triangles are very accurate! I use them to check my saws and other tools for square. For this task they can not be beat. As with every thing from woodpeckers these are made to the best quality and have a strong sturdy feel. The included wood case is nice because you can protect them from damage during storage. As long as you care for these they will be perfectly square for life. I would highly recommend these to anyone who is looking for a good triangle set for layout or to check tools.

Fantastic accuracy and precision machining. Should last several lifetimes. To be clear, this is a set of two individual triangles. I think they are screwed together for shipping and storage. However, when I started fooling around with them together it seems like there may be some utility to using the large triangle with the smaller one serving as a lip. IDK, I'll have to experiment.

Dislike price like accurate !
