The diameter of the push button is about 1 inch.

please give us instruction how to set different melody between the transmitters using the same receiver, my order does not come with instruction

The manufacturer sent me a replacement their latest upgraded door bell set from this one, on these yes you can assign a sound for each ringer and a different sound on each receiver, so you can have 1 to 6 different or combinations of sounds now. Also they don't default back to the 1st song every time the receiver is unplugged, they save the last known paired melody. So much much better improvement. I hope they get them back in stock.

How do you change the chimes with no buttons on the side?

Are you sure your bell units have no buttons on the sides? The doorbell ringer (transmitter) has no buttons, but on my model the bell (receiver) has two buttons on the righthand side, hidden from head-on view by the face of the bell. Check again, and if you find them, the instructions should work. If they don't exist, ask the manufacturer.
