Too strong for little kids. Better for adults
A different review mentioned that these boards are really strong and hard to break for her kid. In my experience (I've been doing martial arts for over a decade), rebreakable boards in general are harder to break when they're new, then over time they get too easy to break. Which makes sense. As such, this might not be the best thing to get for a young kid because they'll probably get frustrated and wonder why they can't break the board like they could in class. (Keep in mind, boards in class have probably seen a lot of use and are broken in.) Little kids probably aren't going to do enough reps fast enough to break these in. As such, I think adults would be happier with these boards. To me, these boards feel like the quality I was expecting for the price. Time will tell how they hold up, but so far I see no issues. The foam is fine, the plastic underneath seems durable. I mainly just want to let parents know before buying boards that small kids don't do great with brand new boards, which is just general advice, not a criticism of this specific product.

Wear out over time
Got these for my boys. They've used them hard and they have definitely become easier to break. The plastic shows signs of stress at the breaking seam. But they are fun to use and have probably been broken 100 times since I purchased them.

Saves money
A few months ago I got the yellow or beginner rebreakable board as our family just started Taekwondo and our 8 year old was afraid of breaking boards. We got him comfortable with doing the front kick he would have to do to level up with it and he got to yellow by breaking it at the test... yes, he was supposed to do a wood board but just couldn't aim well for that. At first, it can be a little tight, but then gets easier. So far though we haven't had it where it is too easy. At first it is also difficult to line up back in its tracks, but that gets easier as well. They are well padded and aren't scary. I haven't used the tougher ones yet, but as long as our family keeps with the sport, I expect these to come in handy. Don't have to buy boards, don't have to clean up shards, etc.

Ok for the Money, but some Drawbacks
First off, these were $35 for the 4-pack at the time I got them, and I've paid significantly more in the past for other brands (usually around $15 for a single board). As is typical, you get what you pay for, and here are a couple of things you should know: 1) These are not for kids, regardless of what the listing indicates. The connections are softening with time, but in general these are pretty difficult to break - even the lower level colors. As a mom with a kid that does TKD, I can tell you the response was not good and the frustration level was high. 2) The foam layer is extremely thin and hurts after a while if you are practicing punching rather than kicking. My husband also does TKD, and he expressed that these are not the most comfortable to use regularly. He prefers the more expensive boards we have gotten in the past because the padding is better. I was drawn to these because of the price and the difficulty range (I figured my kid would grow into the more challenging ones, whereas my husband can use them all right away). Based on cost, I'd say these are worth it because ultimately, they work. If you can't afford to pay for the better quality ones, these are a good option. For my family, however, I don't think I would pick these again. I would rather have 2 really nice boards than 4 that are just OK.

Eco friendly training
These boards are a great way to get in some eco-friendly training at home or the dojo. Students can use these boards over and over again vs. breaking wooden boards that you can only use once. These boards also break cleanly and there are no splinters to clean up which happens with the wooden boards. Before using the re-breakable boards, you will need to "break" them in, which you can do by manually taking them apart and putting them back together a few times. I did that and then asked a black belt to kick and punch them a few times to break them and they worked great for my lower belt kid. There is also a correct way to hold them, which a high belt can show you or there are youtube tutorials, so they are easier to break. These are a great way to practice for belt tests or team demonstrations.
