Working inside tractor trailers can get hot very quickly, even at modest temps. This fan, with some simple modifications, has been great to quickly move into the trailer and get the air moving. The combo of light weight, how much air it moves, and how long the battery lasts make this a great fan, even accounting for the higher price than the competition. I use this fan five days a week for roughly 4.5 hours at full speed and the battery still has some charge left at the end of the night. It has taken a few bumps and falls in the two months I have had it, and as of yet is none the worse for it. I would recommend this fan to anyone that feels they need the better cfm and battery capacity. To me, it is worth the cost. This is for the 12 inch version.

I normally would not spend a lot of time reviewing a fan, but I have to give this one mad props. My entire camping trip was filled with questions on where I got this fan from! Everyone in my group wanted one. It has a beautiful all metal design, quiet brushless motor operation, and good battery life when run at a lower speed. I got about 6 hours of runtime with the fan on low speed. It's less than the hours advertised 8 hours but it's quite respectiable considering it's construction and size. I got additional runtime by using a battery bank with a direct DC output and was able to double that on the 2nd day of our camping trip. I was blown away with the brushless motor design with a variable fan speed controller that is intergrated into this unit giving it nearly silent operation on low. It's a bit heavy on the price but I think it's an excellent fan and worth every penny on a hot summer day.

I bought this to cool my pickup truck after passes at the drag strip, and the ad says like it flows a ton, on paper similar to my air mover I bought at Home Depot awhile ago. But I wanted something that is cordless and doesn’t need a generator. It blows alright but it’s for sure not as they advertised. It’s good for recreational use, inside or out. Very very smooth. Great product, just not as powerful as I expected.

I live in the tropics and electricity goes periodically especially during the hurricane season so I purchased this fan to keep my wife cool especially on those hot humid nights. For starters this item was a replacement for a unit that was not charging or functioning when I received it. I contacted Amazon and the seller immediately replaced the defective fan The new fan arrived on time and the packaging was excellent. What I immediately noticed is that this fan is solidly built and sits sturdily on its base. I charged the unit for approximately four hours until all four indicators illuminated a bright blue indicating that the unit was fully charged. This unit comes with a variable speed control which allows for a smooth transition of the speed levels. I turned the fan on and adjusted it from low speed all the way to high speed and back to low speed The unit responded seamlessly smooth with good airflow. This is a quiet fan compared to others of it’s same size. I ran the fan for approximately four hours at which point the battery life was at approximately 60% during this test period the fan performed flawlessly. This fan comes with a high capacity rechargeable battery and I expect that it would continue to deliver good airflow throughout the battery cycle. I like the fact that this unit comes with a USB charging port which is really useful for charging many electronic items including a rechargeable LED lantern. For now I give this fan a rating of five stars and I will monitor its performance over time. I highly recommend this fan and will certainly purchase it again.

I don't think it's really as strong an airflow as claimed. I will admit it's alot of air but I can achieve nearly the same with a $24 O2 Cool fan running on 15V. The primary problem is the screws and knobs are over tightened at the factory. So far I have managed to fix one knob and get the front off without stripping the screws. But the other knob came stripped - which is almost impossible to do with the way this is designed. So far I've tried three styles of wrenches. I will try a foot long socket wrench next to try and get more leverage. But I really have to warn folks - if the knobs are "stripped" and cannot be tightened any more, you can't tilt the fan. Which ultimately makes it a useless fan. A very expensive useless fan. Update - I did ultimately find a long and string enough wrench. Sprained my thumb doing it but got both knobs off and the double nuts from each side. Then used epoxy to glue a single nut into each knob. Note the knobs fall off if you just stick a single nut inside with some super glue. Too much force and super glue won't hold. I can still do some simple tilting. I did more comparisons against a O2 Cool fan running on 15V. Note O2 Cool fans are 12V fans that normally run on 9. Two O2 Cool fans for $24 each is a better buy.

Looks to be well built. I just got it so I don't have long-term experience with it. Works great. I was disappointed with the battery setup. Amazon description says "6 Lithium ion batteries required. (included)" ... unfortunately the 18650 batteries are not easily replaceable. The back is secured with 6 screws that have some sort of sticky foam on top, presumably for weather protection. Once you open it up, the batteries are encased in a plastic wrap and won't be easily replaceable without modification. I'll eventually modify this so I can easily swap batteries with other devices and use a more standard chargers ... but for now, this will do. Just figured I'd write this in case anyone else likes to have a more standard setup where batteries and chargers just swap between all portable devices. Update: It's been running for more than 12 hours non-stop at 50% speed. So overall I can't give anything lower than 5. Update 2: Used it extensively in our last camping trip. Love it! It's stable enough that we could just leave it on the floor of the rv while driving (I don't recommend but it stayed put and kept passengers cool). Placed it at the foot of my chair by the camping fire at low setting and got 0 smoke toward me. Another huge plus for having this fan. My wife loves to use it around the house also because at the lower settings, it is a lot quieter than our other air fans. So I definitely like it a lot. It's sure to go with us on all camping trips as well.

I bought 2 of these fans mainly for power outages. One of the fans would turn on, but would not charge out of the box (it would spark when plugged in). The box was not wrapped in plastic like the other good fan was. So it was obviously returned for being defective. The fan was shipped by amazon, so they sent a returned item to me (so 1 star for amazon). I sent it back for a replacement that has been working perfect for 6 months of daily use. I use it everyday at my desk both the battery and plugged in. I've charged the battery from completely dead at least 60 times with zero issues. I live in a area where the power goes out regularly due to lots of thunderstorms in the spring and fall. I use the 2nd fan plugged in on my night stand next to my bed. If the power goes out, the fan will keep running flawlessly and will automatically switch back over to wall outlet power and recharge. The fan also includes a USB charging port. I use this while sleeping as well, I plug my phone into it, so if the power goes out my phone will still get charged. I use my phone as my alarm so its very important to me. The battery life on both fans I purchased are about 16 to 20 hours on the lowest setting, 8 hours on medium and about 3 and 1/2 on the highest setting. Low setting puts out plenty of wind if using it at desk, work bench or night stand. High setting is a freaking hurricane. These little fans put out an incredible amount of wind and are VERY quiet with well balanced blades. If you can get one that isnt opened when you get it, you should be a very happy camper. If you buy this fan... MAKE SURE THE BOX IS WRAPPED IN PLASTIC, otherwise you've been shipped an opened unit.

I do a lot of camping with my 3 son's and the Boy Scouts, and most of the time it's hot and muggy so we enjoy having a fan to move some air. I have tried the big and bulky ones and the small compact ones, this is by far the best one we have ever used !!! This fan is small enough to take anywhere and delivers a huge amount of air flow. It is all metal construction ( even the blades ) so I'm sure it will hold up for a long time. It is extremely quiet even on high. Two of my favorite features are that the fan speed control switch is variable and can be adjusted down very low which is nice inside your tent at night when you don't what a fan blasting you out all night, also even though the rechargeable battery last a long time and make this unit very portable, there are times when we have access to plug in power and this fan can be used while plugged in and it is still charging the battery. Also you can charge your phone or any other device with the USB out port. Some might think this fan is "pricey" but I have spent way more than the cost of this fan on ones that didn't hold up of didn't deliver.
