The mold works very well!I lightly brushed the inside with low fat spread to ensure the cake didn't stick, and it came out very easily. Little was left behind and that cleaned very easily.I laid the mold in a baking tray (fitted just right diagonally for me), so it was secure/level when in the oven.Fill the mold with batter to about 3/4 full.When the cake came out, it was a bit higher at the neck/head end. So I just sliced a bit off to even out,Due to the mold not producing a very high cake (and being the shape it is, you don't get a lot), I baked with it twice and made a jam sponge by putting one on top of the other! Much easier than trying to slice it in half anyway. Actually, if it had been any bigger, it wouldn't have fitted in my cake box (as it was, I had to lay it diagonally).The detailing comes out enough for you to be able to decorate it. You can refer to the mold as a guide when you're doing it anyway. I had very impressed friends and family!

Item perfect for creating guitar cake. Silicone is thinner than expected compared to other mould’s I have. Light pancaking used.

If the mould is well-buttered it works really well and holds all the details when turned out. It's quite shallow so you do need to make 2 cakes and sandwich them to create and decorate the guitar.

Can’t fault it. Good shape, easy to remove cake from it once cooked (I buttered it just to be safe). Had good detail on it but as you’ll see I wanted to decorate properly. Will use multiple times, well worth the money.
