Great chisels

I use this chisel most days of work and comes in handy for cleaning out rebates. Sharpens nicely on a oil stone.

Make sure you use your sharpening stone to take off the protective lacquer it’s coated in before use. It’s there to stop it rusting etc in transport but means the edge won’t be razor sharp if you try and use it without doing so. Probably the best chisel I’ve used out of Irwin, Stanley, Magnusson

I bought this to make cleaning up in corners easier and it certainly does that. Well made and sturdy, pretty sharp out the box too. This is the first Narex chisel I’ve bought and I’m impressed with the quality for the price. Makes cleaning up glue squeeze out super easy too 😉

Very useful tool, combining aspects of a chisel and a plane. The cranked handle lets the whole body of the blade lie flat against the workpiece, ideal for trimming dowels etc. Acceptably sharp and flat from the factory.

If I could have my time again all my chisels would be Narex.

I needed a chisel with a cranked handle for pairing in some awkward tight places. I've used Narex chisels before, they are pretty good for the price, but be prepared to spend some time flattening the back, obviously being flat is essential for this type of chisel. I prefer a low angle for these chisels, so sharpen the bevel to 20 degrees.

Muy bonito el acabado ,el mango y todo eso ,pero centrándonos en su utilidad probado y comparado cortando madera cualquier formón de los más baratos que tengo cortaba mejor ,este se agarra a la madera y desgarra las fibras en vez de cortarlas limpiamente . Lo compré por las reseñas pero me desconcierta que sean tan buenas y comprobar que el corte es peor que mi formón más barato,he llegado a pensar que pudo haber un defecto de fábricación en algún lote en la aleación ,en el templado o algún otro factor ...el caso es que lo tuve que devolver por corte deficiencia.
