SUUNTO Clipper Compass, Micro Compass Attaches to Strap, Sleeve or Map Edge

1mo review: I've been running this on a NATO strap with a Timex Navi XL Auto for a month. So far my opinion is that this is a fantastic little compass for the price. It hasn't been pinpoint accurate compared to my Suunto MC-2. But, it needs to be said that this should NOT be your primary compass. This is intended to be a secondary or quick reference compass. It'll work excellent for urban environments, but you wouldn't want this as your only compass in a land navigation scenario.

I've used Suunto clipper compasses before and lost a couple over the years. It is more durable than other clip-on compasses and, even if the bezel pops off, this unit snaps back together very easily.

Actually bought it for my car. I live in Golden, CO and am usually very good about directions, especially when I can use the mountain range to guide me, but when I drive IN the mountains or in areas I don't know, I can lose my sense of direction. It seems to be working well. I had to try some different spots away from some metals that were throwing it off, but it needed to be on a flat surface where I could easily see it. Mounted it with 2-sided tape on the console.

bought two of them, fit snug enough on my casio f91w.also the shipping are 4 days earlier than the scheduled date.I'm happy with it.

Purchased based on the SUUNTO brand name. Did not work right out of the package. Dial would not move at all, regardless of what angle it was held at. Perhaps a couple of light taps on the table to "free up the dial?". No, nothing. Useless. Returned and picked another brand. Definitely makes me think twice about considering SUUNTO in the future.
