Effective but requires a lot of effort to get them in
Very reminiscent of childhood! I bought these as heel savers, I’m quite hard on my shoes, lots of running around at work. They are doing a great job and make a fabulous noise. However, it took a LOT of force and a hammer to get them in and they are quite slippery on laminate floors.

Decent
Arrived quickly, but we're just thrown in a small plastic grip-lock bag. Not that I want a load of unnecessary packaging, but with spikes on, these could do with a bit of protection. The items themselves though are exactly as expected; just sorry the inside of the shoe/boot, hammer them in and off you go. Used them yesterday and they all stayed in. Warning, though, if you haven't used these before, you do lose a little grip so don't go out in wet or icy weather with footwear that have these (not just these particular ones - any heel protectors) as you may slip and slide. All that being said, I should now get a few more years out of my beloved old boots ☺️

For leather heels they are perfect. However for heels made from plastic/rubber type materials
For leather heels they are perfect. However for heels made from plastic/rubber type materials, the points are not sharp enough to pierce without the use of quite heavy hammering which then could risk damaging the rest of the shoe.

Broke instantly
Broke after I hit it with the hammer twice. Had to place another one where the broken one went. Thinking of just pulling them all out and getting it done in a shop. They are brittle and cheap metal, not durable at all.
