Description

This magnificent pure mediterranean olive juice comes from fruit grown ecologically in the traditional way, without any use of chemical products. Our olives groves are manually harvested between the months of October and November. TASTE AND AROMA Well fruited, topped by floral flavours, reminiscent of almond blossom and recently cut grass. Rich green color with delicate hints of gold, bubbling over with fresh fruit scents of apple and ripe green olives. Perfumed and fragrant, a delicate taste of tomato leaf, freshly cut grass and young almonds, a finish with a touch of bitterness, overlaid with an agreeable hint of white pepper. PRODUCT FROM PRIEGO In 1858, the Yévenes family started the olive groves farming business in the heart of the Sierra Subbetica National Park, located near the town of Priego de Córdoba, Andalusia. For centuries, the region has been known for producing exquisite olives and developing artisan skills to extract a pure liquid gold that has shaped the mediterranean cuisine in many ways. CULINARY HINTS An ideal dressing for all kinds of salads, drizzled on bread with tomato and salt for breakfast, or on cow’s or sheep’s milk cheese, accompanied by a young red wine. Its character and intense aroma bring out the taste of oily fish like salmon or tuna, as well as lighter white fish. It also goes perfectly with carpaccio of meat or fish, poached egg, pasta, or young vegetables, baked or grilled. A prime ingredient in all types of hot or cold vegetable soups, cooking and vinaigrettes. Review: Look no further because I found what you’ve been looking for! Knolive Organic Extra Virgin Olive Oil - My wife recently wanted to get on the health bandwagon so I decided to oblige and cut back on my unhealthy eating and work together on this endeavor. Being an engineer, I of course started out by building a spreadsheet to build recipes/compare nutrition/manage calories etc… Well after some time and many articles later I realized its not only what you eat but how you prepare/serve your food. After getting past the low fat and low salt searches I focused my attention on olive oil. First stop, which has the best and why? For this I search the world ranking system and took the top oils and placed those side by side in my handy dandy excel sheet. Then began the fun part of analyzing and comparing them based on flavor/price/style/volume/etc... One issue was availability. Most of the oils I was able to find available through the web but not all were locally available and I wanted something that was easy. So it was at this point I turned to my most used source for ordering almost everything and went here (desertcart-duh!). After looking through the prices and availability I settled on Knolive (although there was limited reviews) I figured I would give it a go being that it was ranked highly globally. Me: Hunny come here I found some olive oil Wife: Its about time Me: This one is ranked number 6 in the world Wife: Its not organic Me: SO….. Wife: Evil gaze…. I now know how the kids feel Me: Organic it is! Well the day had finally arrived that I received my beautiful shimmering green bottle of golden oil! I started off using the oil for a finisher on my salad as well as my pasta and boy does it kick things up a notch! This was really my first experience with quality olive oil. (I usually bought the cheapest stuff off the shelf – rhymes with mertolli) I was amazed at the different aromas and flavors that could be tasted in the oil alone. This stuff definitely sets the bar! Now the search for recipies will begin on how to use this oil, so its back to the grind on the old excel sheet! P.S. I will be ordering the Epicure eventually to say I have had one of the best! Review: All around great product! - Delicious smooth taste that you can tell is made with quality! I love the spout which has a controlled pour making it easier to avoid over-saturation and great to drizzle over salad, veggies, etc. The bottle's design is appealing enough to leave right on the counter.
