Works well when used as directed.
This stuff works great when used strictly as directed. Works as well or better than more expensive brands Iโve used in the past. Do not by any means let it dry on the surface. The car MUST be cool to the touch and in the shade. My only deviation from the directions is scrubbing it gently with a soapy mitt before rinsing the car. Rinsing takes a while because this stuff keeps coming out of panel gaps, trim, etc. Using a blower to get the water out of those spots helps prevent drips after the car is dry. This will stain your paint and some uncoated plastics/metals if not rinsed properly. Will definitely buy again as I use it regularly.

Game-Changing Paint Protection - Worth Every Penny!
I'm amazed at how effective Adam's Iron Remover is at protecting my car's finish. The new formulation (released June 2019) is a significant improvement over similar products I've tried. What sets this product apart is its ability to remove iron particles from your paint without any mechanical scrubbing - just spray and watch the magic happen! The science behind it is fascinating - when you apply it, the solution turns purple as it reacts with iron contamination, giving you a visual indicator that it's working. It's incredibly satisfying to actually see the harmful fallout being removed from your paint. Unlike clay bars that only handle surface contaminants, this product gets deep into the paint to remove embedded iron particles. One of the biggest improvements in this new formula is the reduced smell. If you've used other iron removers, you know they can be pretty overwhelming, but Adam's has managed to make this much more pleasant to work with. It's also pH neutral and acid-free, so you can feel confident using it on your clear coat or single-stage paint. Just remember to avoid getting it on trim and metallic surfaces. For best results, simply rinse your car first, then spray this on any painted surface (works great on wheels too!). The orange-colored formula makes it easy to see where you've applied it, and it activates quickly on contact. The fact that it's made in the USA and comes with a 110% satisfaction guarantee just adds to my confidence in the product. This has become an essential part of my detailing routine. For anyone serious about protecting their vehicle's finish from iron contamination, this product is absolutely worth the investment.

Very pleased with its performance.
I was skeptical of buying a product that says it will remove rust and brake dust built up on vehicles. But I thought heck I have spent this much on dumber things. LOL. I was very surprised that it did remove built up brake dust and tar and dirt from my truck rims. I sprayed it on and let it sit for about 3 minutes and the stuff turned purple and ran off. I also bought a brush that goes on a drill to help remove some. But I would have to say that the spray did the hard work. Very please with its performance.

Eats the rust
Four Stars: A Must-Have for Deep DecontaminationโJust Donโt Skip the Gloves Iโve been using Adamโs Iron Remover for a few months now, mostly on my RV wheels and lower panels that pick up a ton of brake dust and road grime during Florida travel. Itโs earned a solid four starsโnot because itโs perfect, but because itโs one of the few products that actually does what it promises with visible results. ๐งช What stands out: โข Instant reaction: Spray it on and watch the purple streaks bloom as it dissolves iron particles. Itโs oddly satisfying and lets you see exactly where itโs working. โข Great prep for detailing: I use it before claying or polishing, and it leaves the surface noticeably smoother and cleaner. Itโs especially effective on wheels and trim that get hammered by road debris. โข Easy to apply: The spray bottle is sturdy and distributes evenly. Iโve used it with a pump sprayer for larger areas, and it saves time and effort. ๐ฌ What to be cautious about: โข The smell is intense: Think sulfur meets metal shop. Itโs tolerable outdoors, but indoors or in enclosed spaces, itโs a bit much. โข Protective gear is a must: Gloves, eye protection, and ideally a mask. Itโs a strong chemical, and Iโve had mild irritation when I got careless. โข Donโt rush the rinse: Let it dwell for a few minutes, but donโt let it dryโespecially on sensitive finishes. It can stain if left too long. ๐ฏ Final verdict: Adamโs Iron Remover is a powerful tool for serious detailers or anyone dealing with stubborn brake dust and embedded contaminants. Itโs not a casual cleanerโitโs a chemical workhorse that demands respect. Use it right, and itโll reward you with a cleaner, smoother surface thatโs ready for polishing or coating. Just hold your nose and suit up.

Amazing! Zero elbow grease and 100% removed
I never write reviews, but had to go out of may for this product. Simply amazing! I tried everything in the garage I have for vehicle detailing and nothing worked, but this worked in minutes!! The rust you see in the car hood is from a week within a parking garage with dedicated drips right in the center of my hood. Came completely off! Would recommend to anyone that has the same type of staining.

Best Iron remover by price so far
It does what all iron removes do melt embedded particles before or after claying. Spray on, let it sit, and bleed purple, then wash off with rinse or rinse with contact wash to remove all the staining. From my usage, all iron removers do the same job. The only difference is how bad the smell is when using the product. This one is diluted with an orange scent which is not strong enough to mask all of the nasty smell from iron removers, but it is way better than ones without any scent such as Carpro iron remover which made me want to hurl when I first used it. I would give this 5 stars if this was cheaper to buy in bulk such as their 5-gallon when it was on sale and with amazon prime so no shipping cost as the buyer. If their mega foam had prime shipping then it would be a good deal. I couldn't find any other brands that sell iron remover for less. It works well on all exterior surfaces of the car including wheels, brakes, and tires. It might cause some rusting on the metal brake rotors but those will come off when braking so no worries. Also, don't use it on damaged surfaces because iron remover is an acid. 3 Stars because the price is still steep for 1-gallon and 5-gallon (buy them in gallon or 5-gallon size when on sale, then use ur own spray bottle instead of their overprice small bottle versions). Another star was lost because of the smell which is not as horrific as Carpro iron x. Iron remover should only really be used when prepping your vehicle for ceramic coating or some other intensive application. Iron remover shouldn't be used in every car wash and only use when preparing a coating over the vehicle. So a gallon or 5 gallons will last you years if you DIY and not a business.

Works like a charm
Canโt believe how well this worked. Immediately removed all of the iron dust specs that were embedded in the paint of the car I just bought.

Excellent product but second ordered bottle came broken
The product worked just as described and removed all my rust stains on the car and on my Render brick fence (from lawn weed and feed). One bottle just covers car but be very careful near rubber and plastic trims this destroyed my spoiler rubber trim. It does take a few goes on old or very bad stains but with patience you will get them all out. My second bottle came broken which was a bit of a bummer but Amazon fixing that up, great service.

hardly enough for one car
Its good product but, Dry very fast which damages the pain. Barely covers one car I didn't even use it on the wheels . If you can avoid this two i think it will be great for you

A must have for white vehicles!
We own 2 white vehicles, park outside and live in an area with high iron fallout due to several industrial plants in town. I began noticing rust spots on both vehicles while washing them and after some research came across Adam's Iron Remover. This product works exactly as advertised, spray on, iron deposits turn purple and wash right off! Keeps the paint on the vehicles looking great! The gallon jug has lasted me over a year and I use a spray bottle I picked up from the local hardware store. Buying in bulk is a real cost savings over the smaller bottles sold at the auto parts store! Overall very satisfied with the performance of this product and will certainly purchase again!
