Clore Automotive Jump-N-Carry JNC950 2000 Peak Amp 12V Jump Starter

This jump starter is nice. It is easy to use. If you experience a dead battery, this can get your vehicle to crank so you aren't stranded. It has 2000 peak amps and 700 cranking amps. There is an included power cable for charging the jump starter. Also, this features a 12 volt power outlet for accessories like inflators, power banks, or whatever you need. There is a cord included. The clamps are nice and strong with decent length cables. The handle is solid and the weight isn't too heavy. It would be nice if there was a storage compartment for the cord and power cable.

I purchased a JNC 660 a while back and so far so good for powering 12 V DC items through it's DC port. Thankfully I have not had to use it for jumpstarting any vehicle so the jury is still out as far as performance as a jumpstarter. I decided to purchase the much larger / higher battery capacity JNC 950. My JNC 660 arrived fully charged. This 950 arrived with the Battery Status Gauge showing a full charge of 13.5 V. I plugged a small portable CB radio with a CLA adapter into the DC socket on the side of this unit and to my surprise there was NO power at all. I tried a second small device in the DC socket and again NO power. I decided to charge the unit a full 24 hours as per the instructions through the AC wall plug.Once again NO power at the DC socket. Either the DC socket is defective or the Battery Status Gauge is defective or finally the battery may be defective. I have not tested the battery in this unit. Clore Manufacturing is closed on weekends so I have to wait until Monday morning to hear from them. Due to Amazon's Hazardous Material "NON" Return Policy they will not take the item back, which is ridiculous in itself because it is OK for Amazon to ship hazardous material to paying customers but it is not OK for customers to ship hazardous items back to Amazon for a refund ??? At the moment I am stuck with a $300.00 paper weight, not to mention the fact that it is going to cost me a small fortune to ship this garbage back to Clore. UPDATE: The people at Clore were very supportive and understanding about the issue with this unit. I sent it back and within one week I had a NEW unit with a working DC socket. The old unit had been shipped without a Negative(-)lead connected to the DC socket.

As a owner of a small car dealership, this has got to be one of the best investments that I have made. It is the absolute BEST Handheld Jump Box on the market. It will start any automobile plus with the cigarette lighter plug in. you can carry use it for other purposes. I love the automatic charge feature whereas, I plug it up when not in use and not worry about it over charging the jump box. It weighs probably 25-30 lbs; however, it is a lot easier to carry this than to roll around a portable jump starter. The value you receive is outstanding when compared to a cheaper jump box. You can not go wrong with this. Plus the Battery does come with it contrary to the rolling jump box where you have to buy the battery seprate.

Bought this and set it up charging in a corner so it's ready to use. Finally needed to use it last week and it wouldn't jump a small 2.5L 4-cylinder engine. Charge meter shows it's in the green, but I don't believe this has the cranking amps it advertises. If you shop around for replacement batteries you'll notice that this thing takes a pretty small/basic battery. Clore doesn't publish the battery specifications, but if you look at the third party replacement battery specs you'll notice that none are rated for more than 350A peak. Also every single replacement battery including the official OEM part all have terrible reviews. Got a noco instead. At least the lithium jumpers are lighter. This thing is super heavy to lug around only to find it doesn't work.

Heavy but I like the extra power capacity. I keep it in my auto transport and don’t worry about having to start multiple units.

Great battery overall. Had no trouble starting my 4.2L diesel with dead batteries. The built in charger is great as well. That said, 4.5 years and 7 international trips later this battery is finally dead. It won't hold a charge at all anymore. Possible I let it sit uncharged for too long but I doubt it. I would expect this to last longer.

The absolute best jump pack on the market. It’s a simplistic powerhouse, and I happen to love the analog voltage meter. It’s no frills, and all business. The ones with the inflators, and lights don’t hold up, or perform, and typically are way overrated. While this one is a bit heavier than lithium packs, don’t have the capacity for extended long cranks which you’ll get with the JNC950. The 660 is a monster also and plenty for cars and truck, I’m using the 950 for diesels and doesn’t blink even at temps of 0 and below. Worth the money and also has a replaceable battery. A++ buy

I know the lithium-powered jumpers are popular these days. Those have much smaller batteries than this and are using electronics to boost the current. That works but in the end, they have much less energy. This thing is heavy and bulky but it really will start anything.

le produite semble bon , sauf que après 4 mois d`utilisation occasionnel, la batterie int. ne se recharge plus et impossible de retourner !! faut contacter le fabricant pour la garantie , mais aucun service n`est offert en Français pour ce produit qui est vendu au Québec !! je vais plutôt acheter au Québec dorénavant ! merci
