How much space do you need behind the desk, if it is mounted to the back?

It mounts flush and flat against the back, you need very little space, less than a cm.

Can't point the arm downwards as then the laptop holder part is the wrong way around. But it's too high pointing up! Any ideas? Not a good design.

What is the distance from the edge of the desk to the clamp as i have 20mm thick edging un the back of the desk that the clamp would have to go behin

Should be fine.. mine is clamped on a 3.5mm desk

Does this come with any other fixings other than the clamp? I see similar models coming with a bolt to fix through hole in a desk?

You can fix it through the cable hole in your desk if your desk has one. That’s what I did.
