The best ever
I immediately had to write this review because this amplifier is insanely amazing. I have owned many amplifiers and this is hands down on another level. The construction of this amplifier is soo gorgeous, soo beautiful, soo well made and heavy it left me speechless. This amplifier is made by true craftsman and engineers. The hard work that went into this is breathtaking. It has an automotive paint job! It has a beautiful blue smooth paint job! This kills anything a western brand makes and then pisses on it. The value for the money is unbelievable. I don't know how Willsenton can make a profit at this price but I am extremely grateful and will save up to purchase the rest of their products because aftering powering it on this amplifier sounds as impressive as it looks. The sound is the greatest thing I've ever heard. After a life of solid state amps and a few class d I went to tubes first with tube headphone amplifiers and this is my first 300b speaker amplifier. At 8 watts this plays louder, more musical, smoother and with more crystal clear authority than any solid state or class d I've ever heard. I have this amp hooked up to my fully upgraded tekton pendragons and the sound is magical. Crystal clear mids and highs, smooth, natural, life like, and it has slam and authority. Yes, this does not play softly it is perfectly dynamic. This amp plays rock, vocals, instrumentals and pop with authority and ease. I have the Volume set at 9 o clock and going any higher it gets very loud but still crystal clear and smooth. It is unbelievably linear. Thank you willsenton for making this product at such a great price. This easily competes with products many times higher in price and I am extremely grateful to be able to own a 300b of this very high quality. If anyone is interested I can tell you honestly it's more than worth it. You will listen to your whole library all over again with this because it's that good. It brought my music to life.

After 14 months of light use this R300 Plus amplifier started blowing rectifier tubes
Unit looks really good, and sounded (past tense) pretty decent. I put really expensive tubes in it, like Cryotone and Western Electric 300B but found that it didn't really make a big difference in the sound. It always sounded "ok". My complaint is that after 14 months of fairly light use (couple of hours/week) the amp started blowing rectifier tubes. There's 2 of them, $175 each so $350 bucks of sparkling and sizzling death every time you turn on the amp with new tubes. Which I did exactly twice, so $700 down the drain. Amp is out of warranty, of course. Questionable whether it is worth getting it repaired. Now I have a really good looking boat anchor...

Game Over
Right out of the box, the R300 delivered the most mesmerizing sounds I’ve ever heard. And after only eight hours, it’s louder, clearer, and more holographic than all other single ended triode amps I’ve owned or heard. In my world, only SET amps can compete. My high end stereo hobby spans many decades and I don’t think I’ll be looking for another amp. The way this thing brings voices into the room is eerily realistic. 300B is no joke! While listening, I felt like a knight on a three dimensional chess board of musicians, as if I could walk amongst them. Finally, the sound is so magical, I get lost in it; making me forget any thought of the science and technology involved in its production. And at the end of the day, isn’t that what it’s all about? The R300 is a flawless jewel inside and out.

Try this. You'll like it.
I don’t normally review products, but I felt compelled to say a few words about the Willsenton R300 Plus amplifier. On the advice of several online reviewers, I decided to try this $1,600 Chinese-made amp with the understanding that if I didn’t like it, hey it’s Amazon … I could just return it. I will not be returning it. The sound of the R300 driving my Klipsch Cornwall speakers is gorgeous. At lower listening levels it’s luscious and creamy; at higher levels it’s as dynamic as any amp I’ve owed, never mind that it puts out a mere 8 watts. And while it sounds great right out of the box, after 50 hours it really starts to become magical. If you’ve got high sensitivity speakers as I do, you owe it to yourself to try it.

Rich and Deep - Gorgeous
I initially bought a Muzishare X7. I loved it. But I kept hearing about the 300b and decided to try it. I figured it would not be as good as the X7. I was wrong. The 300b is richer, deeper and with more dimensionality. It wasn't even close for the music I listen to - jazz, acoustic, rock. I can't say what it would sound like playing metal etc. But for my taste the 300b is pretty incredible.

Beautiful midrange but thin bottom end
I bought this amp with high hopes, it sounded great after burn in but I was never able to get enough bass. It has a very pure, warm sound. I wasn’t in the mood to Jerry rig my sub into the system——but I thought very hard before returning it. After about 100 hours of burn in, I heard the most beautiful, open, warm and holographic sound that so many audiophiles speak of. My speakers are large ( circa 1985 but all rebuilt Klipsch Chorus 3 way horns). Horns are not too bright with the correct amplifier. People that say horns are too bright should try vintage gear or tubes. The 300B tubes made them sound fabulous with jazz, classic rock, country, newer rock really anything I played. I wanted to love it but in the end, my father’s vintage Marantz 22xx from 1977 was better as was my vintage Accuphase E202. Not midrange better but overall dynamics, warmth and depth better. The Marantz plays vinyl so well. The 300B was just too thin sounding—-totally lacking the depth of the beautiful string bass from Jazz that I really enjoy. (Mingus). If you are a purist who doesn’t need tone controls…you will love this. My ears and personal taste require full dimension and depth of sound. The chase of that perfect sound is part of it!

300B tubes are awesome
The type of tubes are great, but one can realize improvement with other "higher end" tubes, or (?) cryo. Don't be afraid of low power, but use with efficient speakers (Klipsch or several others like Tekton, Zu DW's, and many more.). Enjoy the tube experience and still save $$$.

Willsenton R300 Tube Amplifier
When the Willsenton R300 first appeared on Amazon I was curious about it. Then Steve Huff, on YouTube, did a glowing review of it. That convinced me to buy it. I am sure glad I did. Not only is it a beautiful amp to look at, but it is one incredible sounding amplifier. The build quality is amazing for the price. I replaced all the tubes with premium quality tubes. That really opened the amp up in sound quality. If you are curious, as I was, about what a quality 300b amplifier sounds like you owe it to yourself to buy this amplifier. It is probably one of the greatest audio bargains on Amazon right now.

suena firme y mantiene detalles

Attention to Detail in manufacturing (Additional comments added)
The sound quality was slightly better than my current Bryston 4Bsst and BP25 preamp and Klipschorns. I may have kept this unit if it had not arrived with the headphone jack not disabling out to the speakers when plugged in. I was not willing to sent it for warranty repair on a unit that I had for less than a month. It was suggested that I be sent a new jack and install it myself or have a tech do it locally, still not an answer I was looking for. Upon closer examination the 300B tube sockets were loose and had some play in them not the tube but the whole socket. This is an amazing looking unit very nicely finished. I wish I could have kept it but based on the flaws in workmanship who knows what other problems would arise. I did not want to chance on ordering another unit for fear of similar quality control misses. I was able to return this item hassle free which was good as it was not Amazon Prime item Only draw back I had to cover the shipping cost of $175.00(CDN) to a Location in Ontario. The cost of which I considered the price of being able to audition this incredible Amp. Now that I am back to listening to my Bryston I know now what a great difference this amp was making to my listening. Definitely considering another purchase of a Wllsenton Amp maybe the R8. NB Shipping was very fast it arrived a month ahead when they said I would received it

Great 300B integrated amplifier.
I got some Kiipsh RP-500M II speakers and this amp for use in my office. I have only had the unit setup for a day or so, but initial impressions are very positive. The build quality and appearance are very nice. Those transformers are HEAVY! make sure you grab near the back when you pick it up. This amp seems well matched to the Kipsch RP-500M II speakers from what I can tell so far. This amp has no trouble driving them to any volume I listen to at my desk and it sounds fantastic. Very clear, detailed, and considering how nearfield I am listening, it has a really nice sound stage and sounds very open. I am enjoying it so far, I don't think you can go wrong with this unit. It has the perfect balance of features for my needs. It has a few inputs in case I want to do hook up something else, the individual relays on the inputs are a nice touch as well. The remote control is a handy feature that you almost wouldn't expect to find on something like this, but it works perfectly. You can easily see the volume level because of the green light on the volume knob. This amplifier also has a nice protection relay, so when you power it on and everything is warming up, the relay stays off, the light on the volume dial is red, then the relay clicks on when everything is ready and the light turns green. When you power the unit off, the relay clicks off. This means there are no pops, or noises going to the speakers when the unit is powered on or off. The shipping took a couple weeks, because it came from Hong Kong, but the unit was double boxed and very well protected. Everything arrived in perfect condition. The tubes even had a customized foam piece on top of them to hold them in place and protected during shipping.
