I tried True Nutrition beef protein isolate and it was awful. Didn't mix well & the taste was gag-worthy. BulkSupplements checked of my list of adequate protein per serving, minimal ingredients and possibly the best price to weight ratio I've found. I was apprehensive as there were many complaints on this product but I was pleasantly surprised. It mixes well, has minimal taste (I bought unflavored) and has had no adverse effects on my stomach. I tried it for the first time today (12/16/2025). Package lot number is 2505806. Hopefully whatever the issues were have been sorted because I'm very pleased with this.

I have been very happy with Bulk Supplements products over the years and I am still a regular customer. Also, this particular protein powder is radically different from other beef protein isolate powders on the market. I only ordered the Bulk Supplements version because the stuff that has been working so well for me was out of stock at the time (and Bulk Supps stuff had never shown up in my recommendations until I went searching for an alternative). I was also so accustomed to being happy with Bulk Supplements powders etc in the past, that I bought a 1kg bag with no hesitation. Oops. This stuff though, smells bad and tastes worse. It sort of looks like unflavored beef gelatin (coarsely ground and apx the same color) BUT beef gelatin powder IS actually unflavored, AND actually dissolves in water. The flavor of this protein powder reminds me of ground up hamburger that has been over done on on a grill along with a faint charred smell (and once blended the charred smell becomes a very noticeable taste). Oh and as far as protein powders go, this stuff actually messed with my entire digestive system worse than any whey or soy protein powders ever did. The only protein powder I have tried that smelled worse was Brown Rice protein.

I’ve been buying this for a couple years and consuming everyday. It’s been subtle in smell and taste when mixed into my morning coffee and I’ve loved the ease of digestion as I have significant gut issues. The last 3 shipments I’ve received came in a slightly smaller bag but then you open it and the air fills with a gross putrid smell that was never there before. The color has also changed and is more yellow and the true test it tastes like it smells! Cannot mask it and is literally not palatable. My stomach was grumbly and bloated after forcing down a 1/2 serving of my usual amount with coffee. Please go back to your original formula. I’m not sure what changed or why but I am no longer a loyal loving it customer and will not be buying this anymore.😥🤢

The first time I orderde this unflavored protein, taste was not bad, it tasted like beef broth, but the second package the taste was horrible, smelled like rotten beef, mixed with burned bone, I could not dirink it at all, I think they don't have good quality control. The worst part is that it can not be returned.

The smell is not pleasant. The flavor is strong like the smell. Blended with other ingredients to mask those & its the perfect clean protein powder. Have only belended in a Ninja not a shaker bottle so I cannot comment on texture when doing that method.

So I wanted to try a protein that was dairy free and wasn't made from a plant of veggie and I came across Bulk Supplements Paleo Beef Protein Powder. I must say I am happy with my purchase! I love that it is what is says it is with no fillers or garbage that I don't want or need. Anyways so the product mixes well but don't add it to cold water or it will clump a little so what I do is add it to a small amount of room temp water mix it up good then add the rest of my cold water to it. It has a meaty taste to it so be ready for that but on a positive note I am also able to add this to basic rice dishes and add flavor and protein at the same time! Win, Win! For the price and quality that Bulk Supplements is selling its product for you can't go wrong. I can't wait to try more products from there line.

I have been using beef protein isolate in my smoothies for years, and I've tried many different brands. All previous brands tried behave the same way in smoothies: they cause it to froth up, thicken, become smooth, and change color slightly. This is expected for beef protein isolate, as this is the inherent nature of protein molecules when blended. The higher quality products will have the greatest frothing effect when blended. With this BulkSupplements product, there was absolutely NO so such effect, and my smoothie looked as if nothing had been added at all, despite using the exact same ingredients and conditions as always. This cannot be actual protein isolate OR, if it is, it has been so heavily processed to the point the proteins have been denatured, giving a poor quality product. This lack of effect would also be expected if additives are added, such as emulsifiers, thickeners, etc. Previous brands I've tried had no effect on taste, whereas this supplement gave the smoothie a horrible taste; I couldn't even eat it. I was so dissatisfied with this product that I had Amazon refund me. I will never buy anything from this company ever again.

Finally a protein powder that doesn't cause stomach problems. It has a slight smell but no taste and dissolves rapidly in hot water. I've tried every other protein powder out there and they have left me bloated and or constipated.

It is helping in increasing my protein intake for weight loss goals. Super easy to add to everything, sweet or savoury, as it is tasteless and dissolves completely. Helps curb the appetite in between meals.

Don’t buy this product. Awful smell and taste disgusting. Not fit for human consumption. The worst part is, if you need to return this, you have to pay the postage to America ($40). That’s not worth. So save you money.
