They are then left to thrive for the rest of the year. About the Startup Describe your product in 3 words. Refreshing y hydration. How did you come up with the idea for this product? I grew up in Ukraine where the forests are vast and abundant in wild harvests. School foraging trips and weekends away with family and friends tapping birch trees for sap in early spring, is something I was missing a lot, having settled in the UK many years ago. TreeVitalise was born out of a childhood memory of the silky and refreshing drink, which is called a ‘living water’ locally, and the magical experience of watching the gracious birch trees and nature itself starting to come back to life after a long and harsh winter. I have very fond memories of the experience; the bright mornings and the crisp air, and then tasting the fresh sap straight form the tree. It’s something that I wanted to share with everyone, as it really is the taste of spring to me. What makes your product special? Birch sap is one of nature’s gifts: a natural brew of fresh snow melt and microents stored in the tree, that has a delicate sweetness, unique refreshing taste and is good for you. We harvest in the wild in the forests of the Carpathian ains, where the locals have been tapping for sap for generations. Our natural tea-like infusions are nothing fussy or complicated too, just nature’s best tree water with a twist of lemons or dried mint.
