Alexandrian Christianity (Library of Christian Classics) Review: Essential Alexandrian Texts - This excellent volume in the Library of Christian Classics includes an English translation of Origen's Dialogue with Heraclides, recovered in 1941. The work is important for an understanding of Alexandrian theology, and especially for Origen's Christology. Other works included in English are Clement of Alexandria's Stromateis III (On Marriage) and VII (On Spiritual Perfection) and Origen's On Prayer and Exhortation to Martyrdom. Review: Well put together. - I thought that the writings of Clement was covered quite well. Origen has always been 'long of wind' and yet you need not be a scholar to understand what he said
