Amazing
These work for what my daughter needs. They block out background noise. And she is still able to hear me. The ear pieces are soft and super comfortable. My daughter is autistic so these headphones go thru a lot and they haven’t broke and the ear pieces are still in tact. Will continue to purchase every time she needs a new pair.

Great for autistic kids, love the design
Really love the design of these headphones for my autistic son. I’ve found a lot of ear defenders have a design that makes it really hard for kids to put on by themselves, especially if there’s any motor issues. But with these my son can put them without help. They seem to fit my son well and he is happy to wear them.

So good my kid’s whole class bought them!
Got these for my kid bc his classroom is so loud that my husband’s watch freaked out and was warning us to flee to get away from the sound before it caused permanent hearing damage, they work great and we’ve discovered many uses for them since buying them! Sporting events, concerts, plays, large indoor events (just used them at a monster truck show last week!), family outings, We take them to the movies bc it’s always painfully loud and we just learned that in modern movie theaters the staff do not have the ability to change the volume of the movies. Some movies theaters are stocking these type of products due to not being able to adjust the volume to something non-painful. You have to ask if they have them. We just bring our own since I KNOW these work and movie theaters will cur every corner they can. At school, since our kiddo got his, I’ve noticed that other kids got them, then more, now almost every kid in his class has them! The teachers like them bc it helps calm down upset kids quicker and helps overstimulated kids to “escape” sensory overload by putting these on and chillin’ in the “calm down corner” to get a break away from the chaos. For those who don’t know what that is, it’s a corner of the room that resembles a book-book, any kid is allowed to use it at any time to take a break from the other kids, they are usually partially shielded (teachers can still see the kid but kid sees less. Some have white noise machines, books, mats or plush rugs to lay on, fidget toys, and lots and lots of pillows!! It’s not used as a punishment, but for building “check in” skills and to recognize when they need to step away from a situation and calm down before returning. Ours even has a pectoral of breathing techniques to help them calm down. The whole room is quieter now (I would have expected it to get louder for the teachers, but nope.). The kids seem to be less distracted, scream less, and are able to focus better on their project and group activities. They also report that the kids say it’s easier to hear the person talking tnext to them bc the background noise is damped by these! Who knew!??

Bought this for autistic child for 4th of July fireworks
Before getting into details, if you're looking for something that will completely block out and cancel noise, this product will not work. This product muffles sound and noise. It does not block it. You'll be better off getting a product that's specifically designed for blocking and canceling noise. This product has cleaely not been designed for that. Now to the details. I bought this for my autistic child who does not like anything on her head or over her ears and does well in crowd, loud places for most part. So I was not willing to pay big money when I had my serious doubts that she was going to wear them at all. I was surprised to see that she wanted to wear them even ahead of the event. I had been preparing her for over a week, letting her know that we were going to go to big fireworks show for the 4th of July. She likes bright colors. So that was a huge plus with this product. She started to try them on several days before the actual day and I immediately noticed a few things: 1) The did look comfy; 2) They're a bit small; 3) Not sure how long they'll last when fully extended as the plastic band inside seems a bit flimsy. Going back to the canceling vs muffling sound, I managed to put one of the cups over my own ear and they are pretty good. On an adult ear, they sit on the ear itself. For a child, to work, the ear should be cupped inside. So look out for that when trying this ir any other similar product. Concerning my child, it did cover her ears completely, meaning that they were inside the cup, which us what I wanted and it is more comfortable, as well. (I know this firsthand because I used to work on noisy plant floors and I needed do wear noise-cancelling headsets.) For the price I paid for it ($10 and some cents including taxes,) it is better than expected. Materials are good. They are soft and smooth, outer orange shell seems of durable material. So overall, it was definitely a great purchase for the price. The size is a bit misleading. It says on the package that it is for children aged 5 to 10. My child is barely passed 7 years old. Her head is 52 cms (20.5 in) wide. As you can see in the picture I attached that I took during the fireworks show we went to (sorry for the quality, there's so much you can do in pitch dark with an old cell phone and a kid who does not stop moving,) the otange ear covers are forcing the extender plastic white band in an angle that will eventually break with a big head. So I would have preferred that instead of the kid's age, the package would explicitly state the head diameter or size. Last thing for parents with children on the autism spectrum. If your child does well with loud noises but may once in a while cover his or her ears, which is the case with ny kid, this is a nice product for when they want to muffle sound on and off. Mine did fantastic at the fireworks. She would put them on herself when she felt the explosions were a bit too loud. Otherwise, she would take them off. She did great actually. But if your child is a lot more sensitive to sound than mine is, look elsewhere. This product won't help you. I'd recommend this product to get by for one or two events for example and you're not sure if your kid will ever wear them again or at all. If you want something more permanent, it won't do it.

Noise reduction
We have used these for school assemblies, church, monster jam and so much more. It has even been perfect for when my son just needs to muffle the noise of daily life.

The most comfortable headphones
We’ve tried several different noise cancelling headphones and these were the most comfortable for our kiddo. Keeps them on has one for house use & another for school. Wish they would make bigger sizes! The baby one is almost the same size for the kids size so if you’re seeing this you may want to just buy the kids size 5+yrs. Our little one is 3yrs old & the kids size fits just right. Worried he’ll outgrow them soon.

Showing signs of wear after first use.
We already have a set of earmuffs for outings, but we wanted another pair for my 5 year old son to keep in his backpack for school. Well let's just say we don't think this set is not gonna last. We took it on a test run to a mini golf course, and it's already showing signs of wear after just one use. Meanwhile our year old vanderfield earmuffs looks as good as new. I will give it an extra star because they are easier to use. Since the earmuff part does not fold in like the vanderfield brand, they are easier for him to use when we aren't around. They are also less stiff so they don't squeeze on his head as much. I think this is a plus because it will cause less fatigue and be more comfortable which will promote him to keep them on. He sometimes struggles with the other set so we will continue to use those only when we are around and we see how these hold up. I may decide to return these.

Suitable for toddler - best style
These are far and away the BEST style for toddlers and babies. We also purchased the (competitors) style that has the wire mechanism at the ear, and our almost 3 year old found them too pinchy. When it came to the competitors version, he didn’t like the amount of pressure on his ears, and also didn’t like that they were too complicated for him to put on and off himself. This (more simple) style of headband is less collapsible (therefore less portable), but seem much much more comfortable. Bonus that he can take them on and off himself (which is important to him). THESE ONES ARE THE WINNER. Sizing Comparison: Red ones are the style advertised as 5-10, and Blue ones are the style advertised as under 3. Although the red ones are a TEENSY bit bigger, I think it is unlikely that they would actually fit a 10 year old. But the red pair certainly work for a toddler, and we use the blue pair for an infant.
