Tried several rust removers on my patio tiles, this cleaned most of them on first time application

Magic stuff!! Worked perfectly on the heavy rust stains on my natural stone patio caused by the metal feet of the benches. One relatively light stain was not fully removed which was curious. Initially, I was alarmed by purple stains left behind after the gel was washed off but they disappeared after a hosing down. I have immediately ordered another two bottles for future years. It’s relatively expensive and the bottles are pretty small but it really does do the job and I’m delighted with it

Having done a lot of research to find a product to get rid of what looks like yellow rust stains on my new terrace, I finally came across this product and read all the reviews. I ordered a bottle and went to use it. As it says in the instructions, pour the liquid over the stains and after a few minutes it will go mauve. Sure enough it did and after a few more minutes wipe it away. This is where the disappointment comes. Some stains went and the rest stayed. Not to be deterred I went at it again but that's when the small bottle ran out. I went to order some more, thinking I could get a larger container, eg 1 litre, but no you can only buy this stuff in these small containers. So in conclusion I had mixed results and the cost for such a small container is expensive. there must be a better way.

This cleans the patio very well. However, you need a lot of it to clean the decking.

Brilliant - got rid of rust stains on porcelain paving

I had an intermittent minor leak from around the bolts joining a toilet cistern to the pan. The bolt over time became rusty and rusty water was dropped onto the porcelain tiles below. Thus the tiles developed a very rusty stain. This product removed the stain completely. It took 3 repeat applications separated by 15 or so minutes. The pack is only 75ml but was plenty to treat the stain. I chose it because of the good reviews and the fact that it was described as specific for rust stains.

Didnt work - lightened the stain, used 3 bottles and didnt achieve complete removal of rust stain on garden stones.

This product was such a life saver! After I realized that one of my planters that I had set on my heirloom marble table had a metal bottom and water had gotten underneath, I set out on a mission to remove the rust stain that was left behind. I started by using just baking soda and water and as you can see from the first three images in the first photo, there wasn't much progress made from that. This product came in and I wiped the table down with water and applied it for the recommended 15 minute maximum time. You can see from the bottom right image in the first photo that the dark purple indicates a chemical reaction between the remover and the rust. In the second photo you can see that after several 15 minute applications, the darker spots of rust had been completely removed, although the larger spots remained. I'm impatient, so I started applying this remover for 2 hours at a time and then eventually moved to 4 hours at a time. From the images at the top of the third photo you can see that it started to dye the marble purple and it wasn't going away. After a bit more research I applied a poultice of baking soda and hydrogen peroxide (the kind that you'd find in a first aid kit), and left it overnight. You can see from the bottom of the third image that the poultice helped to remove the purple. So for several more days I would wake up, apply the remover and leave it for four hours, remove it, apply it for another four hours, remove it again, and then apply a hydrogen peroxide and baking soda poultice overnight to remove any residual purple left over. The final image shows the stain completely removed from the table! My only critique of these instructions is that 15 minute maximum, as I saw the most results after leaving the product on for four hours. I am so relieved that I have not permanently damaged my table. While you will need some patience (it's certainly not a one and done solution), this product really works!

El producto funciona. Se me quedó sobre el mármol los círculos de óxido de dos bombonas de butano. Puse el producto encima y lo dejé media hora, aunque el producto decía 15 min. Uno de los círculos se quitó, pero el segundo que era mucho peor quedó un rastro. Lo rocié de nuevo con el producto y volví a dejarlo media hora. El óxido desapareció.

Ho acquistato questo smacchiatore FILA per rimuovere alcune fastidiose macchie di ruggine dalle mattonelle del balcone esterno e il risultato è stato davvero ottimo. Le macchie erano presenti da tempo e temevo di non riuscire più a eliminarle completamente, invece già dalla prima applicazione ho visto una differenza enorme. Il prodotto è molto semplice da usare: basta applicarlo direttamente sulla zona interessata e lasciarlo agire qualche minuto. Durante l’azione cambia colore e si vede chiaramente che sta sciogliendo la ruggine. Dopo il risciacquo le mattonelle sono tornate pulite senza aloni e senza rovinare la superficie. Ho apprezzato particolarmente il fatto che non abbia un’azione aggressiva come altri prodotti troppo chimici. Sulle mattonelle del balcone non ha lasciato segni né scolorimenti, cosa che per me era fondamentale. Inoltre ne basta davvero poco, quindi il flacone dura più di quanto sembri. Prodotto professionale e davvero efficace, lo consiglio assolutamente a chi deve eliminare macchie di ruggine da balconi, terrazzi o pavimentazioni esterne. Per me è stato un acquisto azzeccatissimo.
