These things are great. I think they are stainless steel. They haven't rusted at all and look shiny still. I've been lightly using them for a few months now. They aren't cheap plastic. They feel very rigid. I do not weld but have been using these with woodworking. I will definitely recommend these to any friends and will buy more in the future. Rigid enough to last, cheap enough to be disposable. I don't see these breaking unless you are doing some heavy duty work, but even if they did break, they are cheap enough to be disposable.

Not vice grips, dont have hole for allen wrench on thumb screw. flopply jaws a little too floppy and hard to align. But, you can't complain too much at this price. Worth the money.

I bought these because the price was low enough to throw them away if they were not durable. I was a little reluctant because I had bought another inexpensive brand, and that brand would come undone or twist when clamping tightly. When this set came in, I gave a pair to one of the fabricators on the job. I wanted him to run them through the ringer and do a side by side comparison with the our go to brand-Vise Grip. He used them for three weeks steady. He said, although not as thick as the Vise Grip, They performed very similar to the Vise Grips. We have not used them on the very heavy projects yet, I still resort to my Vise Grips for those. But for the price, these work great for everyday projects like welding and drilling. I will probably be ordering more.

Bought for my welder daughter. They are not heavy duty but quite adequate for most jobs. The price is less than half of similar ones.
