T-fal Specialty Nonstick Double Burner Griddle 18 Inch Oven Safe 350F Cookware, Pots and Pans, Dishwasher Safe Black

This is a well constructed, nicely made non-stick griddle. There is nothing wrong with this griddle; it is one of the finer non-stick pans I have used. We are careful to keep both ends of the pan at about the same temperature, and have not had a problem with warping. The non-stick technology that it uses, which is Teflon based, has advantages and drawbacks. The advantages are that it actually works, and is very low maintenance. It is also compatible with my glass toped non-induction stove. The disadvantages is that it destroys itself, and you want to get rid of it before it starts flaking off. You must only use this pan on low or medium, you must use nonstick safe (wood, Plastic/Nylon, or Silicone) utensils, you must never put this in the dishwasher, can't use a scrubbie of any kind on it (CERTAINLY NOT STEEL WOOL, METAL SCRUBBERS OR MAGIC ERASERS), and... we still end up buying a new one about every 18 months to two years. Just be aware that, while these pans are well made and coated with one of the best, most durable non-stick surfaces I've ever used... the coating will let you down long, long before the rest of the pan would. It's just the nature of the beast.

T-Fal generally makes decent to excellent cookware in my estimation, depending on the price point. I bought this at a great deal (Warehouse Deal/Free Ship). This Griddle is perfect for bacon and eggs, its primary purpose in out household. There's nothing like frying eggs any way 'em than swimming in delicious bacon grease: the Nectar of the gods., though it'll surely be very good with pancakes, and 'mass producing' sausages, burgers, hot-dogs, etc. for those hungry hordes. The handles are sturdy and held in place by very thick 'n' sturdy rivets as if they expected people to roast a 18# Bowling Ball. T-Fal rates this Griddle as oven-safe to 350°. This certainly opens up other possibilities that I can't even think of right now, because I am not some kind of sophisticated, high falutin' Chef Boyardee culinary expert.

Handles remain easy to hold when pan is hot, because of the heat diffusion, from the silicone handles. The depth of the unit is deeper than any other unit - of any other company - hands down, and therefore, the range/stove stays cleaner. Cooking breaded eggplant has never been so neat and tidy! Even cooking - for the most part - throughout the real estate of the surface area. Pancakes with chocolate chips don't even stick!!! Everyone must remember that this surface will wear out, no matter how much you take care of it. I use silicone spatulas only. Even still, my most recent T-Fal griddle (exactly like this one, but its predecessor) I had for 6 years. Even with exquisite care, the coating eventually...wears. Also, if you have a bird in your home, the coating emits something into the air, and if turned up too high, can kill birds. Always cook on low...always. I've dropped hundreds of dollars over the past thirty years on finding the perfect Silverstone griddle (or equivalent). This one would be my first choice, even at THRICE the price. I just bought my 2nd one, a day after receiving my first one. After ordering the first one of this item, I received it..., used it for chocolate chip pancakes the next morning, and after breakfast...I ordered another one. There's nothing like everyone in the family having a pancake at the same time, rather than waiting for the next ones to finish cooking, while WATCHING other's eat their pancakes. Now, with two of these, everyone eats together...literally. I recommend also, getting an electric griddle to do eggs or bacon while the pancakes are cooking on these two T-fal rectangular griddles. I'm planning on getting a 2nd electric griddle to do fried potatoes. No worry about dishes, either...the units clean up in seconds, with warm soapy water. Use ONLY a 100% cotton washcloth, NOT a sponge or scouring pad. The cotton will allow the coating to last for years. Sponges are usually made of a rayon or polyester, which will prematurely wear the coating down. Paper towels will also wear the coating down, because paper is essentially...wood.

The griddle works great!! So much more room than a single burner easy to wash and really non-stick! Why not 5 stars, I did not receive a regular box so when I went to register it through T-Fal I didn't have the UPC even with all info off the Amazon website and the little pamphlet I received with the griddle I did not have the appropriate model number recognized by T-Fal to register for the warranty or recall notifications.

I recently went on a camping trip with several families and we each took a couple meals for 16 people each. I did breakfast burritos one morning, I did a peach cobbler, and I did 4 pounds of taco meat in the pan. The deep lip makes it able to do more than just my regular cast iron 2-burner camping pan. The pan was super easy to clean between meals, the deep lip made it easy to do large portions and the cake I was even able to do it by putting a tinfoil lid over the top. The handles insulate well so you can pick it up without hot pad holders. And I used it on a camping stove for everything which I was a little nervous about it warping based on others comments as the camping stove can be finicky and hard to maintain even heat, but had zero problems. Highly recommend!

I love this skillet. Had one just like it for over 2 years which I used daily to make eggs, bacon and/or pancakes. It started to warp and wouldn't sit flat on 2 burners. i don't know if the warping was from mistreatment so I bought another one because I liked it so much. The non-stick coating lasted more than 2 years with daily use.

I like everything about this product. It heats up fast on my electric stove and it is very well made. The sides are not too deep or too shallow and so far the the non-stick coating is holding up well. It is easy to clean too. It has insulated handles unlike the one I replaced with it. I can pick it up and move it while it is hot. I mainly use it to make breakfast foods like eggs, potatoes, and pancakes and I have not had issues with sticking food. I do use a light coating of oil when I use it (about 1 tbs). I have also used oil spray with the same results.

I want to 4 star this pan - I really do. The non-stick surface is great - nice and even - perfect for cooking eggs. The size is great and you can make a family dinner in it without issues. But that's the thing. There is an issue. The handles are too large. You can't really turn it horizontal on the stove since most stoves gaps are too big (you end up with a cold middle. So the most logical way to me is to turn it vertically on the stove (all on one side, front + rear). But in this mode, the handles force it to stick out over the rear burner (the handle won't allow it to push all the way back). So you end up with uneven heat on one end. If you are lucky and have a middle burner (we recently upgraded to one), it helps some but you maybe at an angle. If you're stove has more space or doesn't have a rear display (completely flat) this pan is perfect for you! But if you're like me, it's a little difficult to use.

This item is great for cooking all breakfast items in one pan. The last pan I had before this one warped and would not cook evenly. Easy to keep clean.

To answer your first question; No, it does not work on a induction stovetop. Aside from that the construction and quality of the unit seems pretty good. It's not a flimsy griddle by any means. Handles are large and seem pretty solid. Had it worked on an induction stovetop I would have been thrilled
