Superb oil that is as good as claimed. Light oil that is easy to apply due to a good nozzle, doesn't run all over the place and is easy to clean up afterwards. Well recommended.

It does exactly what it promises and works well. However it is extremely expensive compared to general machine oil, which is what is in the bottle. Food safe, but so are many cheaper brands. But if you only anticipate oiling one or two hinges you get a reasonably good bottle and enough to last you a few years at least.

Got some of this for my old swiss army knife that I had lost a couple of years ago and just found. It was all a bit gummed up as it used to get a lot of use. I simply opened up all the blades on it and removed the toothpick and the tweezers and washed it in some warm slightly soapy water for a few minutes and then left it in some clean warm water for 10 mins. I then left it out to dry for a day or so while I waited for this item to arrive. Adding the very smallest amout to the hinges at both ends and then working each item for a minute or so has completely transformed this to it's former glory, it's even possible to open many of these one handed without breaking any nails. It still has its definite stops but now glides nicely open and closed. Well worth the money to get the right oil for this kind of use.

J'avais un couteau suisse que ma femme m'avait offert il y a 20 ans, et les différents outils étaient juste impossibles à sortir, à tel point que je le pensais fichu. Vu qu'il est garanti à vie, j'ai voulu le renvoyer à l'usine mais il faut prévoir 6 mois de délais... Finalement, j'ai suivi les conseils de la firme Victorinox. A savoir ouverture fermeture sous l'eau chaude jusqu'à ce que les outils soient faciles à manipuler, puis, après séchage, huiler avec l'huile de la marque. Mon couteau à retrouvé sa jeunesse et il a retrouvé sa place dans ma poche. Alors oui, si on regarde le prix au litre, c'est chère et beaucoup de zozo sur le net vous conseilleront de l'huile du rayon bricolage plus abordable. Sauf qu'elle n'est pas alimentaire... Et vu le peu d'huile utilisé pour l'entretien de mon/mes couteaux, j'en ai assez pour les 40 ans qui viennent. Bien supérieure à mon espérance de vie. Donc aucun regret à avoir.
