What you see is what you get
Product was the right size. It didn't stink. I got what I paid for. It did nothing to dampen or change the sound of my mechanical keyboard (keychron, plastic casing, brown switches, nothing special). It was worth a shot. Your mileage may vary. Really it just depends on the keyboard case you're working with.

Easy way to dampen sound in a hollow board
There is probably a bunch of stuff you could put in your keyboard to dampen sound lying around your house, but you were curious, and the internet led you here, to poron foam. It's true, this stuff is good. I had a fun little project upgrade a budget Redragon board with Outemu reds (the most pingy, hollow board I've ever heard), and this poron foam combined with aditional sound dampening foam between the PCB and the plate and a tape mod turned this awful-sounding board into an absolute DELIGHT to type on. Again, poron foam is just part of the equation, but this stuff worked, and I've got a bit left over since the board was TKL and there's enough foam for a full size board. Would buy again!

I got this for my first ever experience assembling a keyboard, so my opinions are naive.But, I think this works well! I was assembling a 75% Artemis Paragon keyboard, which doesn't sell components like foams, so I needed something I could customize.I did a shoddy job cutting the foam, but it was just the right thickness for everything to be nice and snug (and the sound is quieter too).
