Hi, you can choose UK size according to the size advice in the description.

I would be wearing these for my fitness classes and don't wear socks. Can anyone advise if I should downsize?

What glue is used to bond the soles? Could these be machine-washed or the glue will deteriorate?

After having used them although they are comfortable they seem rather delicate and washing them may damage the outer layer or the trainers. Glue possibly may survive if done on a low heat wash .

Comfy Indoor Shoe

I guess you get what you pay for. The running shoes have very little support and more of a indoor gym type.Comfy and soft. I would not recommend for outdoor use due to the lack of support, grip. Possibility of getting shin splints too.
