06026 Heavy Duty Corrosion Inhibitor, 10 Wt Oz

This works really well to coat and protect things from rusting . . . especially in a marine environment. The only 'downside' is that it does leave the surface coated with a waxy~greasy coating that is yellow/brownish in color. But, I guess you have to think that there's gotta be something there to keep the surface from getting exposed and, if necessary, it is possible to remove this with a degreaser or mineral spirits, etc.

This is THE stuff to undercoat your car with.I have a 2007 Explorer, that had light rusting in 2018 when I bought it; a yearly coating of this has fully arrested all rust, and the parts have developed a black patina that almost makes them look new. It dries hard. It does not damage rubber, like most wet products. It doesn't absorb dirt and make your car unworkable like fluid film.Only downsides are it's sticky when sprayed; wear junk clothes and a proper mask; it's not toxic but you don't want wax in your lungs. It does eventually crack if exposed to a lot of UV, but this only happened on my trailer hitch (which still has no rust). Has a amber color, so only good under car.

Actually grabbed this for my dorm because the parking lot here destroys anything metal. My old bike chain started getting crusty quick and i was tired of it squeaking. I sprayed this on the chain and the bolts on my car battery and it kind of saved them. It goes on thick and sticky so it stays put, which I like. I hit the metal legs of my cheap shelf too and they stopped getting those tiny rust spots. Smells strong so I just crack the window and do it by the door. Reallly glad my tools aren’t turning orange now.

This is the absolute best rust protection for a vehicle , easier to use then fluid film or PB blaster suface shield, It stays on and will provide great protection.

Bought this to use on the underside of my mower deck. Nothing knocks this stuff off.Got some new spinning yard ornaments to replace the rusted ones. Sprayed this stuff on the posts and the welds on the blades and the bearing edges. The coating dries pretty clear. Time will tell but so far the results are great. Just got another can too. I’m spraying everything outside that I don’t want to rust.

Great product. I used this as a rust remover also. Sprayed a little on a rusted antique , waited about 5mins and wiped it clean of the rust. Sprayed it again and left it on. It creates a firm film coating protecting it from rusting again. I used it on the badly rusted bumper of my 54 Dodge pickup and it greatly improved to lookd.

My '04 Acura TL was a babied, never winter driven luxury touring until my winter-only beater gave up the ghost 4 years back.Until then, the winter-stored TL was PRISTINE underneath; rust wise, gravel chip wise, every wise.Four years of chemical garbage this town insists on over using on the roads in the winter, has changed that.Even though the control arms and steering components are really decent metal and thick, they are rusting as one cant avoid with metal anythings. Of course all the screw sized threaded components are near seized too.I made sure to wait a couple hours longer than the instructions say, before using the car (literally 24 hrs no car use; plan wisely). The cleaned, gently brushed or sometimes quick light hand sanded parts I followed up with spray, have barely any dull red rust appearance returning.Its been most of a year, some gravel roads, lots of rain since the first application.It does look like it coats nicely enuf to take abuse that would otherwise wash off other products, making it a multiple times a year hassle doing them... I DIDNT HAVE TO do another treatment, but finished up the remains of the can, since winter is around the corner.No idea how it will help slow advanced rusting on underbodies that went many years uncared for, but can say starting with a pristine underbody and this product has been rewarding.I like what I see, hope it continues to last. Bought a refill this week.

This is cosmolyin . it stays for very long. Have used it many times. Smell is little powerful but it definetly protects. If something is already rusted, it may not protect as i did notice it started rusting but it definetly slows it down. Definitely worth it to buy. The oil based ones gets washed off very easily but these ones stays like forever... Leaves yellowish color. Wish there was greyesh color or other color based too as i used these on my doors and is yellow now but i dont care as long as it protects it from rusting ....

After several trials this is the best protectant I've found so far. All the others washed away after winter driving. Dries to a waxy yellowish film. You need a couple of cans for a typical car's suspension.
