Elegant, smooth surface, good quality. My only "problem" that a little bit heavy but it's ok since it's marble.

Gorgeous salt and pepper set. Hopefully the stopper will last a long time- that is the "weak link" in the set but as of now they are sturdy

Pros - really love the way these looks and their heft. Made to last. Cons - inside each one, there was marble dust. You have to clean it off. If you don’t you will be eating it in your food! I wish they had cleaned it before shipping. I am nervous as I used water, paper towels, and towels to twist in side but not sure all dust is out. Also, mine did not come the silicon top covers other mention above —not sure why. Searched the box, none there. Don’t see a way to contact the seller directly via Amazon.

Collecting rock and mineral specimens has been a passion of mine since childhood. My love of rocks extends to things made of rocks, so when I find everyday household objects made of granite, marble, etc., I tend to get them. This was no exception. These are, in fact, made of SOLID marble (aside from the bottom stopper and silicone cover, of course) - not marble-patterned plastic, not some other marble-esque stone, not thin marble over other material, not a composite of glued-together scrap marble. They are carved from real, actual, solid marble. Being solid marble it of course has a lot of weight to it for its size. It sparkles in the sun and feels nice in the hand. The holes are big enough that salt and pepper come out of them easily; the salt shaker (white) has one hole and the pepper shaker (black) has two. When I first removed the bottom stoppers there was a LOT of dust inside, probably from manufacturing. I washed them out with water to clear away the dust. It also comes with a small brush you can use to clean them out for refilling. Note that rocks are unique and what you receive likely won't match the photo exactly. The salt and pepper shakers will be white/black but the marble pattern will vary. In my case, the tray that came with the set had both light and dark marbling rather than being solid white (like the one shown in the photo). I actually kind of appreciate this since now the color matches both the white and black shakers! Anyway, great salt and pepper shakers, I recommend them if you love rocks, and I look forward to putting them out in our new house. Thanks!

This looks and feels like real marble and it's definitely a fancier way to have your salt and pepper and visually is more pleasing than any other salt and pepper shakers I've ever seen. The inside though - it's not polished the way the outside is. I'm a little concerned that some of the stone will get into the salt and pepper and be ingested. The silicone tops I guess are necessary but detract from the look. But are always optional. I may put them away. The pepper shaker has 2 holes and the salt has 1 hole. Definitely more pepper emerges than salt. But I prefer my dishes that way, so that works for me. The bottom plate is also marble. It's really well made. I'm just concerned a little about the insides.
