Question 1

Hi how many watts are these batteries?are they good for solar panels?

Accepted Answer

This battery is a lead-acid battery with a capacity of 1000VA RMS and there is no technical reason why could be not used for solar panels if the solar panel could be connected to it. However, other, larger capacity batteries could also be used in order to minimise the number of units actually connected.

Question 2

Hi how many watts are these batteries?are they good for solar panels?

Accepted Answer

I am not sure of the VA rating, but you probably could use them for solar panels, if you changed the connectors as necessary.

Question 3

Does this battery work for an apc smart-ups 1000, please?

Accepted Answer

Dear APC Valued Customer,

No, it won't. This battery is used mostly in Smart-UPS 750va units.

Smart-UPS 1000va units use a different battery model.

In order to be sure, I suggest you look for a white barcode sticker on your UPS as this will contain the correct UPS model and serial number.

Once you have identified the UPS model then you can go to the link below to find out which battery it uses.

Question 4

Hi how many watts are these batteries?are they good for solar panels?

Accepted Answer

Dear APC Valued Customer,

The battery description is "BATTERY 12V, 11 OR 12 AMP-HR". It is designed to be used with our UPS systems. Unfortunately, we won't be able to answer its association with a solar panel. It would be best to ask an expert on Solar Panels.
