925 Sterling Silver Australian Opal Triplet Blue Green Tear Drop Pendant with a Curb Chain - October Birthstone

Description

This 925 Sterling Silver Opal Triplet Blue Green Tear Drop Pendant and Chain shows exquisitely the beauty of this delightful Australian gemstone. No two opals are the same, each stone changing colour depending on the angle it is viewed. This iridescence, as the colour changing is called, is unique to opal and is one of the reasons opal is valued so highly. The colours of red, green, orange and blue can often be seen dancing across the pendant depending from which angle they are viewed. The photographs while real do not do justice to what can be seen physically. This pendant is blue green and is a oval shaped tear drop. It measures 17mm long by 13mm wide at its widest part. It will hang down 25mm from the bale. Included is a Sterling Silver 41cm-16" Curb Chain with a ring clasp that will hold your pendant safe and secure. The pendant and chain will make a wonderful gift for your loved one's Birthday, Graduation, and Confirmation, Wedding, Christmas, Mother's Day, or Valentine's Day. The pendant and chain will be delivered in a smart Gift Box, so they will be "good to go" as that special gift to your loved one. Blue Opal Triplets are made by fixing a layer of opal onto another opal mineral which results in the gemstone being shown at its spectacular best. A further layer of clear quartz is then capped onto the opal, enabling a high polish to be achieved. This gives it a spectacular finish as you can see here. Most opals come from Australia and some people believe that the sunshine produced the delightful colours that can be seen. Opal is the birthstone for October and is reputed to relate to travel, prosperity, love and affection. Octobers Zodiac sign is Libra for 23rd of September to 22nd of October birthdays and Scorpio for birthdays between 23rd October and 22nd of November.
