I Bought 2 of these for Christmas Gifts. One For An Autistic Non- Verbal Grandson, the other for a younger child. It has Pictures, and a recorded sound. It also has a feature where you can record your own voice , so your kids can recognize it. They Absolutely Loved It, And their parents did too. One Grandson uses it to ask for things, the other Grandson uses it to enhance his vocabulary.... It Has worked wonders for them both, in different ways. Love It.

Appears to be of great quality. Easy to use. However, my grandson isn't quite ready yet.

My problem lies with The adult control buttons! He’s 2 and intentionally pushes them. There should be a cover over those 4!Also I can not find any replacement stickers. These are a bit cheesy. I need other words. I know I can record them, but I will have to make my own stickers. I’m still not sure I ordered the right device, but price wise it’s great. The jury is still out!

This little device is decent for the price. It’s extremely lightweight, but still seems solidly made. It took me a couple of tries to get the custom audio recording right, but I eventually figured out what the instructions meant (the buttons in the accompanying video were edited, and are not the default/original phrases or accent). I only removed one star because the audio quality is a bit fuzzy and pretty mediocre. If this were just a kids’ toy, that would be no big deal, but given that it’s supposed to help people communicate, decent audio is pretty important. Overall not bad. I’d buy it again for the price point. It’s a good introduction to AAC for beginners, and a nice small handheld tool for AAC users who for whatever reason don’t have access to their device in a given moment.

Great for Austic kids

The record feature allows for you to use your own voice or record different phrases for the button than originally designed-great! Most of the assigned buttons are already so useful! The real surprise was the vilume. There are 3 settings and i thought the quietest was the loudest as first but boyo do these get loud! Very good for making sure you are heard but if you wanted a coms device that could be used without drawing attention this would not be it. The feel of the control itaelf is very nice, its got a soft finish that allows for good grip! So far very impressed for hownlittle it cost! Great quality, so much better than expected. It is long but hey it helps me not lose it

Great little non-verbal communicator

I bought this for my Mum who lost her speech after having a stroke and it worked wonderfully. You can use the prerecorded audio voice or record your own. It is easy to use and a great resource for anyone. The cost was very reasonable and the product is well worth the price. The device is well made and sturdy plus the design and colour are attractive. I could see this as an excellent tool to use for language learners or people with special needs.I highly recommend the speech buddy and I hope it helps your loved one as much as it helps mine.

My son is non verbal autistic and we use this device to give him a voice unfortunately this one has arrived and does not work :(We really do love and support this company/devices what it stands for and how it brings something so valuable to a special needs /disabled child’s life is just beyond words.
