Can this be used with the Otis Ripcord?

Yes. This is the answer to “how in the world do I pull this through the bore?” This forms a T handle that gives you a grip on the tip cord. Works great.

Is the part the cable slips into metal? The one that came with my kit was plastic and snapped. This looks heavier duty, but is the black part plastic?

The one I have is a pretty heavy plastic. The ends are metal. The handle I have is heavier than it looks. I don’t know how you managed to snap it.

Should this fit 12ga Ripcord? Mine does not despite everyone saying it works with the Ripcord.

Sorry I've never used the Shotgun ripcords, not sure if they use a larger diameter cable.
