Fits well and is highly visible day and night. We live in a wooded rural area. Bow & Arrow hunting season is starting. Our dog is 52 lbs and medium sized but has coloring consistent with deer this time of the year. We have always put orange vests on our dogs during deer hunting season, both bow and firearm. This vest is the best one we have had. It fits well and is well tolerated by our dog, Gladys. Sometimes during the day she goes out multiple times so I just leave the vest on. She doesn't give any indication she prefers it off. It is extremely reflective day and night so I can see her in the woods and locate her easily, an added "activities of daily living" benefit. We ordered the size recommended in the size chart and it fits well with easy velcro adjustments. She has tested its "washability". What ever nasty stuff she rolled in washed off easily in the sink and it dries quickly. The material sheds burrs and general dirt and debris from the woods so doesn't require frequent cleaning and appears very durable. So far, it is a WINNER.

I’m so impressed with these vests! My dogs run off leash through thickets, forests, rivers, mud, snow, ice, etc. Thus the potential for wear & tear is high. So far, these have performed flawlessly! They wash & dry well, they protect their coats from burrs & branches. They help me keep track of my dogs since they are highly visible. For the price, these are a great deal. They fit true to size (provided in the measuring chart). And they are easy to put on. Once fitted, we leave the chest strap closed and just slip them over their heads & then fasten the belly strap.

This is such a great vest! We live out in the woods and have a lot of hunters around. The size fit my big guy perfectly and made him very visible this does not stretch so make sure you size correctly! I love the fact this keeps my boy safe and he loves wearing his vest so it must be comfortable. Easy to Velcro on and off and Velcro has a strong hold. I also love the fact the silver is reflective for nighttime which is such a big help!

I received this today; our dog was hit by a car last month and somehow survived despite head injuries, very lucky. We live in the woods and brush/trees often conceal his whereabouts. This solves that issue, plus a full fence will be going up on our property soon! Although as you can see by the pic he is less than thrilled with wearing it (won't look at me!) I am relieved to have something to make him more visible when we are hiking and also on our property/extra visibility if he does escape towards the road again. It's probably my computer monitor that makes the listing pic look like the vest is simply a yellow orange...it is much more vivid in real life. This thing is BRIGHT. It is true hunter's *neon* orange, and as you can see from the pics attached, the reflective straps are VERY reflective (that's just my cell camera flash in a lighted room). If you are looking for a fashion accessory for your pooch, this is something out of a hunting catalogue not Doggie Vogue but visibility is exactly what I was after. Our dog is about 60 lbs, Border Collie/Springer Spaniel mix, a little on the barrel-chested side...he measures about 33" circumference at the widest spot on his rib cage and a size L fits him perfectly with plenty of room to adjust the straps. I could easily cut the excess strap off but there is about 4" extra around his neck and about 3" extra strap at his waist. So far it appears very well made yet the fabric is nice and light...and as someone whose dog goes nuts listening to crinkly fabric, I can say that this is not crinkly or loud at all. In fact he is now fast asleep wearing it indoors. I'll update the review with wear and tear feedback once we've had it for a few weeks.

We purchased one of these from another manufacturer a few years ago for our older/larger dog to wear during hunting season since we live in the country surrounded by woods. We tried to order another one for our new (smaller dog) but the small from that manufacturer did not fit so we tried SafetyPUP XD because they had x-small as well. I ordered both the X-Small and the Small and sent back the X-Small since it fit our pup. WE LOVE IT and HERE'S WHY: First, the small from this company DID fit our 25 lb. shepherd/fox terrier rescue (whereas the other company's did not) but even if it hadn't, SafetyPUP still offered an X-Small- so: more size options. Second, the material is much better! It's way more reflective after several washings, seems more durable (though that was not an issue with the other manufacturer either as we still have and use it on our larger/older dog). But SafetyPUP's material is water repellent (if not waterproof) and has slightly more coverage over the front arms/lower neck than the other (which we offset on the other by adding an orange bandana- which is still worn). Overall- it's too bad we didn't find this company when we bought the first one! Since we liked the small orange so much (and our larger dog already has an orange vest) we also purchased the SafetyPUP XD URBAN in fluorescent yellow for both dogs: SMALL for Porter Jones (25 lb. shepherd/fox terrier mix rescue) & LARGE for Jabe Colden (75 lb. shepherd/collie mix rescue). I put the boys in the orange vests during the day in hunting season, and for those crepuscular hours (dawn/dusk) when the light is low- the Yellow shows up amazingly- you can even make out the yellow in full dark! And check either color out with a flashlight- FANTASTIC REFLECTION! Highly recommended for use at home, hiking, even in the water (if your dogs swim) so they can be seen by others (especially boaters). These have become a staple for our dogs whenever we leave the house now... better to have and not need, than need and not have. No more skipping out on spur of the moment hikes, or trail exploration because it's hunting season! We'll post some pics soon.

This vest is excellent. I have an 88 pound lab and the large was perfect. It is secure and does not slide. The sides are the perfect length, and do not hang too long like a different one that I had purchased. The reflective strips make him easily seen when we walk him at night. This is a must to keep your dog safe in the dark!

Easy to put on, seems well made, my dog can be picky putting on clothes and never minds this one, I can find him in the woods off leash easily, also been using as a jacket to go pee when it's raining and seems to work to repel water. So far, holds up well so hopefully durable. Using often and stays in good condition

Bought this for a golden retriever. We often walk in the bush so this best is perfect. It fits to size. Easy to do up and very reflective. It is blaze orange so Perfect for hunting season. Great value for the quality.

Ordered this yesterday and it has just arrived. Lovely quality item, fits perfectly and the dog doesn't mind it. Super fluorescent, and highly visible. The fabric and velcro straps seem robust. We holiday in France frequently, in a popular hunting area and I wanted something to keep our black dog safe. This is just the job.
