Actually, this is NOT a slam at Sam's. They delivered a "NEW" Rolex watch and I loved it. The price was exceptional - $9,500 - which was only $1,000 more than an authorized dealer would charge so I was more than happy to sell it.Let me be clear, this is NOT meant to be critical of SAM'S, it is meant to educate all of us to the pitfalls of buying even an NEW watch from an unauthorized dealer. Out of curiosity, while surfing the web, I saw an offer for an appraisal for my Roles. The first was $6,500 which was a joke. The next one asked me if I had the box and everything that came with it - which I did. He offered $10,000 for the watch and I was thrilled to actually sell the watch for more than I paid!!! A first for me so I took him up on it and sent the watch. What I learned was that I had all the papers for the watch but the Warranty was not good because it did not have my name and date of purchase on the Warranty card and it had NEVER been sent to ROLEX because the Authorized dealer was in Caracas Venezuela!! The Firm I bought the watch from got ii in South America and sold it here and even though they offered their own 5-year Warranty the guys I was selling it to would not accept it so I ended up selling it for a thousand dollar loss. Buyer beware!!!
